Check out this video of our boy Hamlet! ❤️
Baxter wanted to show you what he is working on. He is such a happy boy, and is so excited to be out of his kennel, that he pulls on the leash sometimes. He had a little training session so he can learn to walk a little slower with his human friends. He did so well and he promises to keep working on it!
If you would like to meet Baxter, please call the shelter at 814-443-2121.

Baxter is still looking for his perfect person! He has been going on our Fido Field Trips and doing so well. He has been with us for over a year and we have no idea why he hasn’t been snatched up yet. Please take a look at his video and share it with your friends. Let’s get this boy a home!

Also, maybe you could come visit me this weekend. I would love to meet you!
Hi! It’s me, Motley, again! I wanted a chance to show you what a very good dog I am (and you may have noticed I’m extremely handsome as well.) I asked a friend of mine to take a short video of me so you can see for yourself!
If you would like more information or would like to meet me, you can call the shelter at 814-443-2121 or send a message to our page. You can also pick up an application at the shelter or print one from our website at somersetpets.com.

🚨Attention pet lovers who are looking for their one and only soulmate🚨 Butch is wondering if you’d please consider giving him his forever home. Butches adoption fee has also been recently covered by a generous donor.
Butch has been with the shelter since January of 2023 and has been in his foster home for over 4 months. While he has a great set up away from his foster’s other animals, he would be even happier if he was in a house 24/7 with his people. Whether you’re going out for a walk or lounging around, Butch wants to be with you! He is great with kids too, he just has to be the only animal in the house.
We would love to see Butch get adopted within a month as his foster family will be unable to care for him for a period of time, and he will be too stressed out if he’s back in the shelter environment. Please consider giving these sweet guy a chance! He will make you so happy. 💕

Reyna went on Hike for Hounds on Sunday, and she had such a good time! She is a fun-loving girl that loves to be outdoors, going on walks and spending time with her human friends.
She came to us as a stray and we think she is around 3 years old and a hound mix. (Look at those ears!😁) She will need to meet any dogs or children that are in your family, but did well with the other dogs on the hike. We aren’t sure how she feels about cats.
If you would like to meet Rayna, please call the shelter at 814-443-2121.

Butch has been with us since January of 2023 and is still on the hunt for his perfect match since May of this year Butch was lucky enough to go home with his wonderful foster family while he waits for his permanent family! This is what his foster family has to say about him.❤️ Butch is one of those dogs that instantly establishes a connection with someone as soon as he meets them. From the first day we met him, we knew we had to take him home to foster him. He seemed very stressed out and weighed down in the shelter environment, and we saw how much he looked forward to being let out of his kennel for walks and human interaction, and we knew he would thrive so much more in a home. We were right; he has been the most loving foster dog. His skin issues are almost completely cleared up, and he has so much more energy and happiness radiating out of him. Unfortunately, Butch is kept to our garage because he cannot be around other animals. He has a full mattress to himself and a lot of space to roam around, and we take him out to walk and hang around outside with us as much as we can throughout the day, but he deserves a real home to be in 24/7 with his people. He would love someone who cuddles him and takes him out for walks while he carries his favorite toy in his mouth. Butch would really benefit from having a trainer so that he doesn’t react to other animals, and he is a dog that is 100% worth the time and money. He has so much love to give, and anybody would be blessed to have him as their dog. He will be so hard to let go of when he finally gets adopted, but we are so fortunate to be able to have his love for the time that we do 🖤
