Update: we have written letters to both the BOS and the CPA Commission, and luckily for us we were able to catch it before July 1st deadline for funding reallocation! They helped us and voted to give us an extension! 🤍👏🏻☺️🐶
We want everyone to know that we just found out, without warning, that the Community Preservation Committee has taken all of our CPA money away. There will be no more dog park. It is out of our hands. This was something that cost NOTHING to taxpayers.
Our board has spent hundreds of dollars of our own money and many days and hours of time to make this happen — we dealt with the government shutdown before getting out very delayed nonprofit status, and then COVID hit so we had a very difficult time due to several factors. We kept the CPC up to date as to why it was taking so long and they always told us it was ok and they would hold out.
But they broke their promise.
