If you knew me, you knew Shubie. She was my soul dog! Loud snores, no cardio, loved treats and fresh air. This is her final studio pose. We miss her terribly.

FENRIR
Forever Paws Pet of the Week

Fenrir has spent 65 days in the shelter so far. Considering that he's only three years old, that's a pretty decent chunk of his life. Most dogs his size and energy level would have started to go kennel crazy. But Fenrir? He's as upbeat and unbreakable as always.

A lot of people are turned off because he's about 80lbs. More are turned off because he doesn't do well with cats or other male dogs. He's high energy and needs space to run and needs an active family that can help him burn off some steam. Hiking? Jogging? Do you work on a farm and need a buddy to keep you company all day? Here's your man.

Fenrir is a GOOD BOY. The best boy. He's polite and smart as hell and is absolutely flawless on a leash. He's a dream. He's a sweet angel baby. He deserves more and he deserves better.
Give him a chance. Come meet him. Come see what we mean when we say he's the best dog. He just needs the right people.

No cats. No male dogs. No small kids.

FOREVER PAWS
PET OF THE WEEK

Our pet of the week is Tifa, a three year old jack russell terrier/lab mix!

Tifa is a three year old jack russell terrier/lab mix and just look at that face! �� She weighs in at a whopping 30lbs but what she lacks in size, she makes up for with attitude and energy!
As you can see from her photos, Tifa could play fetch F O R E V E R. Tennis balls are her favorite things in the whole entire world and anyone that wants to adopt her needs to have a decent throwing arm and the stamina to keep going and going and going because this girl never runs out of steam!
Unfortunately, with her attitude comes the stipulation that she NEEDS to be the only animal in the home. While she hasn't been outright aggressive, she's clearly not comfortable with other dogs and being in the vicinity of cats makes her hackles go right up.
Tifa is absolutely worth it, though. She'll climb right into your lap for attention and she'll make it known that you are hers and hers alone. She's got some pretty good leash manners and has sit, stay, and come down to a science.
She's perfect for someone that likes to spend time outdoors or someone that's looking for a hiking/jogging partner!

* PET OF THE WEEK *
Our pet of the week is Athena, a seven year old shepherd mix. Despite her age, she's a spitfire of sassy energy and hasn't let anything slow her down. She's great with other dogs but we would not place her with cats or children under the age of twelve. As dignified and well-behaved as she usually is, there's something deep and wild about Athena, like she's more in tune with her ancestors than other dogs are. There's an intelligence in her eyes that you would have to see in person to understand.

She can be playful and silly with the best of them and plush toys are her FAVORITE. Her loyalty is unwavering and once she chooses you, you are her PERSON and she will give you her entire heart and soul.
