What is a therapy dog? Truthfully a therapy dog can be many things. They provide comfort to others in time of need. How that comfort is shown though can depend on the individual person. Some need a dog to just lay their head on their lap. Some may need to hug and pet a dog to help them through their day. Others may just need a friend to run through a field with them, roll in the grass with them, and bring out the laughter that only a friend can. That’s the job of a therapy dog, to be whatever each individual needs.
