GREEN CITY GROWERS are passionate and experienced organic farmers who specialize in year-round raised bed urban farms for yards, rooftops, decks and unused lots. We maintain production-level urban farms for hotels, grocers and restaurants around Greater Boston, Like the rooftop farm at Whole Foods in Lynnfield. We pioneer farming education programs for businesses, municipalities, home-owners and s

chools throughout Greater Boston. We design every farm and garden to spec, build from sustainable materials and install each each organic urban farm, corporate or residential, large or small, with precision and care. We envision a world where rooftops and vacant lots become common and productive places to grow food - an urban agricultural revolution for a healthier nation. People from all walks of life, living in urban areas, will have access to a network of sustainable urban farms, fueling personal and environmental health, and local food sustainability.

🌱 An employee at Mainspring Campus just got their hands on some fresh 'Goldmine' yellow zucchini squash straight from our gardens, thanks to our partnership with Hobbs Brook. This special moment isn't just about boosting office well-being; it's about creating a deeper connection between all of us and the sources of our food. It's a small but meaningful step towards bridging the gap between us and the complexities of globalized food systems. 🌎

At Green City Growers, the concept of biophilia - the instinctive human affinity for nature - is at the heart of our approach to programming. We love this activity for our seniors because it encourages mindfulness and reveals nature’s healing presence. 🌸🌷🌿

🥕 From the Garden to the Stage: Carrots Stepping into the Ballet limelight! Who knew our organic carrots had such rhythm?

🥕 Millions of tons of edible vegetables are wasted annually due to their irregular shapes. These "ugly" veggies, however, are just as nutritious and flavorful. Embracing them offers an approach to combating food waste, supporting sustainability, and culinary ingenuity. Let's take the opportunity to make a significant impact by incorporating these unconventional vegetables into our meals. 🌱
