Cold frame appreciation post! We use cold frames for season extension so we can grow vegetables beyond the normal growing season. We grew baby kale, spinach, kohlrabi, carrots, radishes, and more! 🥕🥬

We’re excited to share our latest partnership with as part of their sustainability initiatives! We’ve set up 10 organic, sustainable container gardens at Teradyne’s North Reading campus. Starting April 1st, the Teradyne team can participate in weekly farmer’s visits, led by our experienced urban farmers. 🌿 Our mission? To foster agricultural literacy and joy through shared experiences in the garden.
The “Tera” Garden is about about wellness, community, and sustainability. 🌎

🌿Sara Rostampour, our Director of Horticulture, has been instrumental in expertly training our team of urban farmers at Green City Growers, making her the perfect person to share her knowledge on the topic of “Building Capacity for Organization Success Through Staff Training” at the 8th Massachusetts Urban Farming Forum, hosted by the Urban Farming Institute of Boston (UFI) and Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, on Friday, March 8th, 2024.
