Billy Montague, 64, of Somerville, TN, is a second-generation cotton/soybean farmer who lives on the same family homeland farmed by his late father. He started Billy's Rabbit Hunting Service or Beagle Chase as it is called today. His motto is simply, "Man, this is FUN!"

ency. He will take you and your group of friends (minimum of 3) on your private land for $100/day per hunter (8:30-3:30). He provides the beagle dogs (approx. 19 of them), which he affectionally calls, his boys & girls, provides a free orange cap for each hunter, a tail-gate lunch with plenty of drinks (sodas & water), NO ALCOHOL, please, he will dress all the game, if desired, and will guarantee 'A GOOD TIME'! His lovely wife will print & mail a 8x10 photo of you & your group. Participants will provide: gun, ammunition, and a valid Hunting License.

CUTIE will be ready for a new home in 2 weeks. All the others ready in 3 weeks.

Our Story

Billy Montague, 64, of Somerville, TN, is a second-generation cotton/soybean farmer who lives on the same family homeland farmed by his late father.

While farming is his main operation, he devotes his winters to the traditional sport of southern rabbit hunting with beagles...about a dozen or more at a time. In 1999, Montague decided to take his love of rabbit hunting to another level. He started Billy's Rabbit Hunting Service or Beagle Chase as it is called today.

Billy and his beloved beagles, better known as his boys & girls, have been featured on two local TV programs; Mid-South Outdoors/WREG-TV, Memphis, TN, and Tennessee’s Wild Side/WKNO-TV, Memphis, TN. Many articles have been written and published in several West Tennessee newspapers and magazines, including The Commercial Appeal/Memphis, TN, The Messenger/Jackson, TN, Southern Traditions Outdoors/Dyersburg, TN.

Billy is just a good ole country boy who cares about the habitat, wildlife, his beagle hounds, and the sport of rabbit hunting. He is polite, professional and full of southern humor and hospitality. Billy loves kids and specializes in family style hunts, as well as, corporations or just friends getting together to enjoy the outdoors. His biggest joy comes from watching people have fun making memories with family and friends. His enthusiasm and passion for the thrill of the chase and the “music” of his dogs is quite contagious. Most hunters will be planning a second hunt before the first hunt is over. According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Beagle Chase, was the first and only one of it's kind in the Memphis area. He will take you and your group of friends (minimum of 3) on your private land for $100/day per hunter (8:30-3:30) or on his land (minimum of 3) for $150/day per hunter. He provides the beagle dogs, a tail-gate lunch, snacks, soft drinks, bottled water (NO ALCOHOL), and he will dress and bag all the game, if desired.
