Our custom-designed in-ground aqua tread has unparalleled features to assist with optimal conditioning or return to fitness.

The water level can be raised or lowered to any designated water level depending on the client's individual goals. For example, deeper water may initially be used in rehabilitation causes to provide more buoyancy and decreased stress on tendon/ ligament injuries. A conditioning patient may benefit from a lower water level to promote a full range of motion of the joints and increased proprioceptive awareness.

Three completely non-invasive sensors are applied to the horse, which is then trotted both straight and in a circle to allow the Equinosis®-Q to quantify motion asymmetries directly associated with decreased weight bearing. Furthermore, the Equinosis®-Q can be used in tandem with nerve and joint blocks to further pinpoint potential lameness issues.

With a legacy of serving Ventura and Northern Los Angeles Counties since 1958, Conejo Valley Equine's expansion reflects its commitment to the equine community's evolving needs. This state-of-the-art facility provides customized treatment and conditioning programs under veterinary supervision, addressing a range of requirements from show-horse strengthening to tailored recovery plans. The focus is on the four main components of rehabilitation: strengthening, mobility, proprioceptive training, and cardiovascular fitness, utilizing advanced modalities such as the aqua tread, Regenerative Laser Therapy, Equinosis Q system, saltwater spa, and various other options. The facility's idyllic setting at Whitethorne Ranch offers grass pastures, international-sized jumping arenas, and a ¼ mile exercise track, providing the perfect environment for a controlled return to function or rest and recovery for show horses.
