Fryer Creek Farm is associated with Community Café and operates a 1 acre garden for growing organic produce and flowers. We also have a petting zoo of mostly rescue animals including Tasha (horse), Spunky (llama), Rosie and Zachary (pigs), Jake (4 horned sheep), Mama, Billy, Yoyo, Saylor, Remy and the boys (goats), 4 Emus, and various ducks, turkeys and chickens. This 2 hour class, lead by horticulturist Steen Berrig of Opus Horticulture, is available 7 days a week by appointment for groups of at least 8, or Saturday mornings at 8AM for smaller groups with reservations. Coffee, pastries, fruit and fresh squeezed juice greet participants upon arrival. Next, guests enjoy an informative talk about organic gardening and what is currently happening in the garden. Following, the gardeners get hands on experience; tasks depend on the season. Breakfast is served in the garden at the end of each session (using our own eggs and produce if possible).

Hands on Organic Gardening Class with Pick, Make & Bake Pizza Lunch (perfect for corporate groups)

This 2 hour class, lead by horticulturist Steen Berrig of Opus Horticulture, is available 7 days a week by appointment for groups of at least 8 with reservations. Following, the gardeners get hands on experience in the garden; tasks depend on the season. Lunch, including make your own pizza (baked in our outdoor pizza oven) is served in the garden at the end of each session (using our own produce).

Family Organic Garden & Farm Experience with Lunch

This 2 hour farm experience includes a one hour hands on experience in the garden, including a tour, followed by hands on experience in the garden, including planting vegetables and harvesting if possible. Participants will take home seeds for their own mini organic garden! A visit to see the animals, including offering them produce from the garden will follow. Next all participants will build their own pizza in our outdoor kitchen to be cooked in our wood fired pizza oven.

$65/adults, $35/children 12 and under
