Paul here from Roadies & Rescues. I'm going to be in the Los Angeles area on the night of November 2nd, then driving back to Sacramento on Sunday November 3rd. In the meantime, Rebecca Martello at PAWSNetwork will be working on building a run to the Pacific Northwest (probably to Portland or Tacoma) that will leave Sacramento on the morning of Monday Nov. 4th.
If anyone knows of shelter dogs or cats that have a commitment from a rescue organization up North, but they just need a way to get there from SoCal, please let me know, so I can bring crates with me in my minivan when I travel to LA. The largest crates I can fit under the loft in my minivan are Large wire crates (36" long), so no dogs bigger than about 50 - 55 lbs.
Since I'm already making the trip back and forth, I would be thrilled to get a handful of dogs out of Apple Valley, Riverside, Downey, or any of the other high kill shelters down there. We just need to figure out how/where to overnight them when we get to Sacramento, then we can put them in the big Roadies & Rescues van the following morning.
