She is about 5 months old and was found on the side of the road in AL with her brother. Remi is mostly house-trained, is still learning not to jump on people, likes to chase water out of a hose and will need a home with a physical fence. She loves other dogs and can’t wait to love and cuddle her own family.

😢 In Rescue & Need Their Forever Homes ...

Bluey (right, black & white) and Bingo (both females in GA), have been in rescue since they were 9 weeks old and are now ready to find their forever homes at 13 weeks old. You can see their stories at https://www.segsprescue.org/available-dogs.html

Bluey is a water-loving girl with a bark that will melt your heart. She likes chickens and her foster mom’s cats too (they are fun to bark at). She loves to play fetch and chewing on bones and stuffed animals. Bingo loves to snuggle and is a little uncertain about water and likes to stay close to her family and also loves stuffed animals. She is a wannabe lap dog and is a quiet girl. They would each like a family with a fenced yard and another dog to play with. They love all humans no matter what size, but no small humans (less than 6 yo).

If you’re a coffee connoisseur who can’t survive without their morning java, we understand. But keep a sharp eye out—sometimes your furry friends can’t resist the temptation to taste that bitter brew. And while humans often need that jolt of caffeine to start the day, coffee can hurt and even kill your beloved companion.

A lick or two of coffee (or even soda or tea) typically isn’t enough to cause poisoning in most pets. But if your dog ingests unused coffee grounds or beans or tea bags, it could cause serious toxicity.

If you know your dog drank coffee or ate coffee grounds or beans, you need to monitor them for signs of toxicity. Immediately call your veterinarian or the Pet Poison Helpline (855-213-6680) for medical advice.

To better understand Form & Function, we encourage everyone interested in the German Shorthaired Pointer to watch our breed in the field at Trials and Hunt Tests. Bred as an all purpose Gundog, this breed was meant to perform multiple tasks, sometimes in a single day. Tasks such as: find game – both fur and feather, hold large animals at bay, point, land or water retrieve, track and locate wounded game, stand its ground if faced with large predatory game or dispatch with smaller ones upon command. Hence “…a versatile hunter, an all purpose gun dog capable of high performance in (over all kinds of terrain) field and water”. In the Conformation ring the GSP should reflect these basic characteristics.
