Seeing them all off yesterday was bittersweet! They have amazing new families that already love them so much! They will continued to be spoiled rotten hehe!! Poor Freya has a touch of depression but she’s been playing with Frodo today to take her mind off the changes.

I am still working through puppy emails before deciding on families for each puppy. Please be patient as I get to your email if you have sent one in the last 4 months. If you havent heard from me, do not fret. I will send a reply :) I will have 6 names for our waitlist. A family and a backup for each puppy.

It is with a broken heart to bring some bad news. Last night, one of our puppies passed away :( We tediously weigh our babies in the first two weeks to catch any weight loss and jump into action in such an event. We noticed her losing weight on Friday night. She wasn't latching or suckling anymore. We took her to the vet Saturday morning where she received subcutaneous fluids and a look over by the vet. The vet and I both tried to get her to suckle but she wouldn't. I began tube feeding her as soon as we got home, feeding her every 2-3 hours. There was no improvement and she felt cold but still alive. I put her on my chest with a heating blanket to get her warmed up, but I couldn't keep her warm no matter what I did. I felt she would not make it through the night. At 1:42am this morning, I saw her go on to heaven. Freya watched her. She licked her to revive her and stared at her and then laid her head down beside her and sighed. She knew her baby was gone too.

We have had 6 litters of babies and never lost one. Most breeders lose puppies. We have been so so fortunate to have never lost a baby. But it happened. It's what I have always feared having to go through. Many years ago, my family bred German Shepherds and we lost lots of puppies. It's something you expect to happen. It's not from neglect or carelessness. It's not because you didn't do enough to help them. Something was wrong, something unseen and unknown. A good breeder will do EVERYTHING they can do no matter what to save a weak puppy. In the end she lost the battle. Only God knows why. It's a reminder that all LIFE IS PRECIOUS. My family and I are tore up about losing her. I've decided to name her Angel. She is now watching over her brother and sisters from heaven. She's not cold anymore or hurting or scared. She has been made whole. Our Angel will be remembered and missed terribly. Poor baby :(

Our other puppies are all doing well. They all got to see the vet yesterday. They are gaining weight and thriving. I'm sorry to bring a sad update this morning. It will be bittersweet watching them all grow up knowing their sister has passed over the rainbow bridge.

We have four new babies!! There are three girls and one boy! Spoiled rotten and don’t even know it yet 🥰 When I was sure no more were coming, I quickly changed out bedding so everyone can stay dry :)

Something woke me up just now and I got up. It was Bean barking at our new arrivals who are now on the way to see us!!! This super calm momma isn’t breaking a sweat and knows exactly what to do!! Sorry it’s dark but I don’t want to disturb her 🥰 Well, I will be up for a while now lol. Who can sleep as angels enter this world in the stillness of this dark night?

Well ladies and gentleman! Freya is officially preggers. I usually dont take her for confirmation at the vet. I have learned her physical signs that indicate her having several buns in the oven hehe. She and Frodo were bred around the week of September 20th. That means a late November or Early December birth since no one can truly pinpoint conception. Each baby can be conceived on a different day during breeding. I have all of your emails. Please do not fret if you dont have a reply yet! I got your email! I am planning to go through them all carefully and in order. We are so excited!!!!

Hello All!! Freya should be going into heat for our next upcoming litter for the 2023 year!! We anticipate her cycle starting Aug-Sept. This means a late october-early november birth most likely! So a fall litter :) If you are interested in being on our upcoming waitlist, please email me at [email protected] with gender choice, what other furbabies you have, and your situation! We will begin preparing for the litter soon! We have moved and are no longer at Lake Norman! We are now located in Randolph County near Asheboro NC. So just a heads up, we moved about 1.5 hours from Lake Norman. We have 150 acres for our doggies on a homestead, but we havent moved that far away.

Hello All! Miss Freya went into heat today. BUT we are not breeding her this time. She needs a break. We have been expecting to move into our new home but construction delays are pushing it until Feb. This would put us moving right around her delivering puppies. Of course, this is not safe for a pregnant dog nor for newborn babies. So Next year we will have puppies, but not this go round :)

Sadly our oldest baby, Ozzie, passed away early this morning. At 1:00 am he had a very long grand mal seizure. He seized so badly he got himself entangled in his crate and we nearly had to take it apart to get him out of it. He had seizures non stop on the way to emergency and when the anti convulsants had no effect to stop the seizures at the hospital we were forced to say goodbye to our baby of 12 years. All the doctors felt confident it was a brain tumor because all tests were normal. Poor baby, it was a rough night for everyone! My kids had never lost a pet and we are all so tore up 😞 I held him in my arms as we said goodbye. Rest in the arms of Jesus, sweet Ozzy!
