Welcome Dolly & Izzy! 💕

These two beautiful bonded girls traveled all the way from Reading to join the KMSR family! The girls previous owner is loosing his home, and sadly had no other option but to say goodbye. We promised him they would be so incredibly loved, and they will absolutely stay together. He left them in tears, but knowing they were in great hands was a blessing. With everything going on he even left them with $150 donation!

Today, they were both spayed and vaccinated — ending over more than two long years of going through unnecessary heat cycles and uncertainty. That part of their life is finally behind them and that chapter has closed, and their new one begins🐾💙
🧡Now safe, happy, and so affectionate, Dolly (the calico, formerly Wally) and Izzy (the tabby, formerly Ozzy) are settling in and most importantly together. They’re a bonded pair who will stay side by side, ready to fill their future home with nothing but purrs and love. 🐱🐱✨

If you’ve been wondering what we’ve been up to lately… here’s a peek behind the scenes of the last 60 days at KMSR. Spoiler: it’s been BUSY! 😅💪

Over 75 cats and kittens helped — spayed, neutered, safe, and loved. 🐾💙

7 more cats got fixed today! 🐱✂️

KMSR has been working our butts off these past two months (really, every month 😅), but especially this month — making sure all of our KMSR cats were spayed/neutered, helping community cats who needed us, and stepping in for 15 cats in homes who were stuck in that vicious cycle of reproduction that had to be stopped!

💙 In the last 60 days alone, over 75 cats and kittens have had their lives completely upgraded — healthier, happier, and free from the endless cycle. Many of them are now in our care, and it’s truly amazing to stop and think about everything we’ve accomplished together.

🐾 I plan, coordinate, and transport to and from every clinic day — sometimes multiple trips, meeting people for drop-offs and pick-ups, and making sure each cat gets safely where they need to go. Most days, I don’t have transport help. I won’t lie… I’m tired 😓 but incredibly proud.

⭐️ This might seem like a small number to a big organization, but for us, it’s a lot of work — and it’s worth every mile, every early morning, and every late-night message.

When I finally get a moment to breathe and look back, it’s wild to realize all we’ve done on top of our regular rescue work. The number of cats we’ve helped as KMSR alone is truly astounding — and we always try to help our fellow trappers and rescuers, too.

💙 Working together makes us stronger, and I’m so grateful for everyone who supports, donates, traps, fosters, or even just cheers us on. We’re making real change, one cat at a time. 🐾💪

🐾🤗PSA: Thanks to all of you who donated we were able to raise enough funds to cover all 4 surgeries and possibly even get them microchipped! We can’t thank you enough. The owner of these guys is SO GRATEFUL and was in literal tears! 🙌😎

🆘𝓔𝓶𝓮𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓷𝓬𝔂 𝓗𝓮𝓵𝓹 𝓝𝓮𝓮𝓭𝓮𝓭 💔

🚨This morning I got a call I couldn’t ignore — and it’s one of those situations that stays with you long after you hang up. There are five cats in one home, one already given away, and the rest are struggling. One black mama has had 14 kittens in just a few short months, and her body is suffering and her latest litter of eight is already fighting eye infections and upper respiratory issues — one even has permanent eye and tail damage.

🤍This is what happens when people want to help but don’t have the means. They start with a couple of cats, then before long, the numbers multiply, the illnesses spread, and the situation becomes heartbreaking and unmanageable. The boys are being put outside during the day to avoid spraying, but that only makes things worse — they’re still breeding when they come back in. Another female is already in early pregnancy. If nothing changes, there will soon be another litter, and another after that.🫣

We’re stepping in to break that cycle — before even more little lives are born into struggle. Our first priority is to get all four adults spayed and neutered immediately. The owner has agreed and is desperate for help, but she has no funds and no options left.❤️‍🩹
This wasn’t in our budget, but walking away isn’t who we are. We need to raise $280–$300 by Thursday to cover the surgeries. Once that’s done, we’ll work on placement for the kittens — and will reach out to partner rescues to help us get them safe.

✨Meet Bella — A Mama’s Second Chance✨

𓃠Sweet Bella is only two years old, yet already a mama twice — not by choice, but by the irresponsibility of her previous owners who never had her spayed after her first litter. 💔 She was absolutely loved by her family however, just a few short months after raising four beautiful kittens, Bella found herself pregnant again, and early yesterday morning at 4 a.m., she gave birth to five more tiny girls. Sadly, the same family who allowed this to happen can no longer keep their pets due to the landlord and reached out for rescue. While this situation could have been avoided, we’re thankful that Bella and her babies are now safe — and that this will be the last litter she ever has to endure.🙏🙏

This time, things will be different. 💕
Bella will raise her five beautiful kittens surrounded by love, warmth, and safety. When her babies are ready to be on their own, Bella will finally get to live the life she deserves — one free from motherhood, filled only with love, comfort, and peace.

Like so many of our owner surrenders and intakes, Bella and her five littles arrived with nothing — no donation, no supplies, and no financial help to cover the costs of their care. Every bit of support for their food, medical needs, vaccines, testing, and eventual spay and neuter surgeries will come directly from our rescue and our community. Any donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that this family gets everything they need to thrive. 🩷

🫶🏻Sometimes what feels like heartbreak becomes a blessing in disguise. Welcome to safety, sweet Bella and her five little girls. 🐾

Our sweet trio here, goes by Paletown PUR-Babies and are growing up fast — they’re already nearing 7.5–8 weeks old, this week! 💕

These three cuties came to us sadly without a mama, and they’ve come such a long way — from little hissy-spitty nuggets to playful, more trusting, and absolutely adorable kittens who love to explore and tumble around together. 🐱💫 It's a work in progress that LOVE is surely fixing♥

They’re now taking applications for Foster-to-Adopt OR pre-adoption✔️🩷Because there’s an odd number of three, we’re looking for adopters who may want a pair or a singleton to join another young, playful kitten already in your home.💟 OR Maybe ALL THREE!!
