🆘Without help: KMSR will need to stop intake for the rest of the year. Money is tight and saying NO is closer than we like to believe.

✨We wish we could help them all, but we can’t. I can’t keep up with the calls I get each day- it’s become to much! A lot of my time and energy goes into my everyday “hands- on”rescue responsibilities, besides taking calls and helping the callers who need us. 💔
WE NEED FOSTERS, VOLUNTEERS, MONEY & PATIENCE!! 🙏🙏
Please, we are NOT paid employees and EVERYTHING we can do, so CAN YOU.
Temps are dropping and it’s getting cold. Kittens WILL die, cats WILL FREEZE!☃️
🚨Your bathroom set up for a week can save lives. Your angry resident cat will be OKAY, it’s not forever and they are separated. You don’t know what to do? I will SHOW you. You can’t afford supplies, great! We will supply what you need!!! You dont have traps and dont know how? (we do) You can’t find appointments we will guide you.
🤷‍♀️The EXCUSES to why they can’t are on default- it’s a tape on repeat and I can almost finish the sentence from person on the other end. 📞
Each circumstance is different, each household is different. I understand this however, SO MANY of these callers have the ability but lack the willingness to actually putforth any effective solutions to the issues they are facing. 💯🐾
🚨🚨Helping with a short-term solution will help control what will be a long -term problem-
Remember ……We can always DO more, HELP more and be more as a team than we can as an individual or rescue 🛟

♥︎With this post it leads me into an introduction of another litter from this same location.❣️

🐈🧡This sweet mama plus five were still mostly living outside - they are all incredibly friendly and rather healthy- some fleas & funk is to be expected. The beautiful little runt has a will to survive, the siblings may be picking on her a bit. Thankfully now that they are in our care and under our watch we can moniter closely and make sure little Miss gets her turn eating by herself. She has an eye infection and was started on treatment and dewormer with the siblings.
She weighs 11.2oz the biggest is 1.9lbs and the rest fall closly in between.
If we didn’t have a foster to say yes, they’d still be outside and sadly within maybe a week (or less) our little one would’ve surely faded away. Mama would be pregnant again(if not already) and the cycle would continue on & continue to the kittens and their kittens. These are things we know and want you to know.
This is a fact, and a sad future. Sweet mama and these kittens deserve a chance in a loving forever home.
🙌We will see they get that! We will continue to assist until all adults are sterilized and hopefully adoptable from this location- (looking for a foster home for 2 long haired females asap)
They deserve more and only WE can save them from a lifetime of suffering.🐈‍⬛🐾
Get involved, NOW is the time! Foster, volunteer, adopt, donate and support.

Every year this happens. We are bombarded with requests for help because the temperatures drop and now people feel sorry for the cats they have been seeing outside.

We as rescues can’t do it all. We would love to but reality is we need more volunteers, more fosters, & more funding. So many times we ‘squeeze one more’.

Really what we need is more people willing to step up. YOU can make a difference!

Albie🐾 A home in record time🤍

From a trap to a Petco habitat to a….HOME! 🏡 Within 48 hours of getting to the Quakertown Petco, he had an approved adopter who chose to meet him first!! They fell in love almost instantly💞. His new dad couldn’t even bear the thought of leaving him there and returning later, so we decided to lend a carrier and made it possible to take Albie home right then and there!!

🐾Welcome to your forever home, you will without doubt be loved unconditionally and I’m confident in that you’ll never find yourself alone and homeless again🥰🙌

🌟 URGENT — Seeking the Perfect Home for a Truly Special Boy: Meet Scooter 🌟
(This is a time-sensitive plea.)

Some cats come into rescue already carrying more pain than any tiny life should. Scooter is one of them. He is the last of his litter of five looking for a home and without intervention he would’ve lived a short life full of suffering. He and his siblings were dropped off in a broken XS dog crate in the middle of the night at a place of business near a very busy road to “figure it out” or die.💔
Instead — because someone stepped in — he is alive, thriving, and searching for the person who will love him exactly as he is.

Scooter came to us with a broken spine. At just several weeks old, he army-crawled across the ground with incredible speed and speed tdetermination, never realizing something was wrong. That’s still who he is today — joyful, resilient, affectionate, and full of personality. He doesn’t know he’s different. He doesn’t know he survived the impossible. He only knows he is safe, warm, loved… and ready for his forever home.

🐾Thanks to dedicated foster parents who refused to give up on him, Scooter has learned comfort, security, and love. His foster family has been extraordinary - as they’ve learned him, advocated for him, and provided a life he never would’ve had. 🙌And now we know him — his needs, his abilities, what he enjoys, and how to help him thrive. He is not a difficult cat; he simply needs someone willing to learn how to love him the way he needs someone that can safely and consistently meet his long-term needs.
💖Scooter is not in pain and he has a wonderful quality of life. He will have another full medical evaluation at the time of his neuter in early December, but today — and every day — he is a bright, gentle spirit who radiates joy.
⭐️He adores other animals, seeks connection, and has no idea he is “different.” To him, his life is normal… and beautiful.🥰

💛 From His Foster Mom:

“Scooter is very social and affectionate and loves snuggling with his people. He is used to living with large dogs and other cats, and he would appreciate having other playful cats around.
Currently, he sleeps overnight in a 2’x3’ dog crate and spends the day on the first floor of the house. Scooter cannot urinate on his own and must be stimulated every few hours (the vet recommends no more than 4–6 hours, though he can go 8 overnight).

He can defecate independently, but we try to stimulate him after meals to avoid messy diapers. He eats wet food morning and evening, and has dry food available overnight in his crate.
✨He gets around wonderfully by dragging his back end, but can get himself stuck on things, so light baby-proofing or supervision is needed.”✨

🆘❤️ Why This Is Urgent❣️🆘

Scooter’s current foster family has given him exceptional care, but he now needs a long-term placement that can fully commit to his schedule and safety.

We are searching for the right home — not the fastest one.
Finding a perfect fit matters more than anything.

♥︎𝕊𝕔𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕖𝕣'𝕤 ℕ𝕖𝕖𝕕𝕤(Honest & Essential)♥︎
⭐️• Cannot urinate on his own — must be stimulated every 4 hours (he sleeps 8 hours at night).
⭐️He has a fancy wheelchair he is still learning to use
⭐️• Wears diapers and drags his back end to get around.
⭐️• Needs a safe, supervised, baby-proofed space (no stairs access).
⭐️• Loves other cats and is used to large dogs.
⭐️•Eats wet food & dry food
⭐️ For now, he sleeps overnight in his crate.
⭐️• Social, affectionate, snuggly, and incredibly friendly.

𝕎ℍ𝕆 We Are Looking For⚠️
We are looking for someone who:
🐾• Is home enough to reliably stimulate him every 4 -6 hours during the day
🐾• Can provide a safe, supervised environment
🐾• Has patience, gentleness, and a willingness to learn
🐾• Understands that caring for a disabled animal is a commitment — but also a gift
🐾• Ideally: experience with incontinent, mobility-impaired, or partially paralyzed cats
🐾• Or… someone open to foster-to-adopt, so we can ensure the fit works for you and him: this helps us to help you and your family feel confident in caring for him💕
⭐️🐾Sees his spirit before his challenges

And AGAIN just incase you missed it earlier;
Scooter is not in pain.
He is not sad.
He is not limited in the ways that matter most.

❤️ Scooter Deserves His Person💖
He survived the impossible.
He is thriving.
And…
He is happy. He is brave. He is loved. And he deserves a forever home that will celebrate him exactly as he is.

If your heart is saying, “This is my boy,” “ i can do this.. i want to do this,” we would love to talk with you. Scooter’s perfect person and match is out there — and we hope they find him soon.

Now he needs a forever home (or foster-to-adopt home) that can love him exactly as he is.

✨ Get Your Pet Chipped (and Registered!) – A Tale of Two Gentlemen Who Got Lucky ✨

⭐️Both are total gentlemen who insist on a good head scratch as part of their welcome package. Incredibly friendly, and if we had to guess… these boys might just find themselves snuggled under a Christmas tree before the year’s out! 🎄

Names TBD—but let’s introduce the pair!

Our all-white prince came with a surprise twist! Turns out he’s already neutered and microchipped. Great, right? Well… not exactly. His chip wasn’t registered to anyone. Zero info. Zilch. Nada.

So here’s the thing—his trapper did some detective work (think CSI: Cat Scene Investigation 🕵️‍♀️🐱) and we believe he’s no older than two, likely microchipped near the end of 2023. But because no one registered it, this poor guy’s “Get Me Home” button was basically disconnected.

And then there’s our brown-and-white tabby, a true macho man with those big, proud cheeks that say, “I’ve seen some things.” We got him snipped at the purr-fect time, and he couldn’t be happier about his new safe, warm digs. He’s a talker, appreciates a hearty meal and good company, and seems intrigued by the free-roam office cat—maybe a future buddy in the making!

Now—serious moment. Please, we’re begging you—if your pet is microchipped, REGISTER THE CHIP! 🙏
Otherwise, it’s like buying a smoke alarm and never putting in the batteries.🪫 💨

If your pet ever slips out (and we all know it happens), we want to be able to reunite you. We go the extra mile to make sure all KMSR cats have updated info, so even if their humans can’t be found, the rescue can be contacted right away. Not every rescue does this—but we do, because it matters.🫶🏻

Too often, people get their pets chipped at the vet or clinic and think, “Cool, I’m done.” Or they skip the registration part, thinking, “Well, I might rehome them anyway.” But that tiny oversight can mean a world of heartbreak later.💔

So—register those chips, folks. Your cat may thank you one day… with a head bump and a very relieved purr. 💗
