Hello all,
So after time to contemplate and regroup, I am tentatively picking things back up. After talking with my partner, we have decided to keep going from where we were, and stay on a smaller scale than initially concieved. The main focus of all our animal endeavors was, and continues to be, the wellfare and general wellbeing of all the exotics under our care. I began to question myself during the sudden loss of the chinchillas, and needed time to grieve and reflect.
A little bit about myself personally; I am a vet tech in my home town, and have been passionate about wildlife and exotics my whole life. I worked with animal rescues before getting into the veterinary field, and on my days off I like to go hiking and swimming. It id our belief no living being should be bred purely for profit; we will never be a commercial, large scale operation because we want to spend time with our animals and make sure they produce healthy offspring and find good homes for them. We aren't in the business of selling toys or lifestyle accessories, we help people find the right companion animal for their needs. We have downsized to stay focused on our goal, and may continue to do so if it is deemed neccesary.
At this time, we have male rats and degus available, and baby degus that will be ready to leave their mom in November. If interested in any animals, feel free to message us. We appreciate the people who reached out in support during our break, and thank everyone for their patience.
