Announcing Adoption #155 - Echo! 🎉🎉

This sweet girl spent a lot of her time in one of our kitty tables, relaxing where it’s calm. When she came out to visit, she was always very friendly and we knew she would make a fantastic addition to any home. 🖤🤍

This couple, and her sister, visited us several times to be sure…and it was soon a done deal! Echo joins another cat and a dog in her new home and we know she will be spoiled forever!! 💕

Adoption #154 🎉🎉

Our last adoption before Christmas is tiny, sweet and playful Feitan! 🖤

His new parents are regular visitors to the lounge and loved to come and just relax with our crew.
Once they were ready to adopt, it didn’t take long to fall in love with this handsome little guy!

This proud papa is smiling with his new kitten Agate, who is Adoption #153! 🎉

He usually comes to visit us on his lunch break, for a half hour of cat time to relax. His most recent visit was to really spend time with the cats and see who caught his eye…and heart! 💜

We think this is a purrfect match! 😸

Adoption #152 is this black beauty, Bindi! 🖤

Her adopter came to us specifically to visit Bindi. She had recently lost several of her cats, all orange, and decided she wanted a black cat this time.

Their first meeting did not go as hoped. Bindi was a bit standoffish and didn’t interact, so the woman and her family visited with another cat, an active and very friendly one. ✅

After a few days and some thought, she decided to give Bindi another try. She came for a second visit where Bindi was much more loveable and let her personality shine. This was all it took! 🖤

Sometimes one quick visit is not enough to get an idea of a cat’s personality. They could be napping, could have just played for an hour or had just decided to be finicky for that moment! 😹

We are so happy she came back to try again to get the cat she truly wanted.

If driving a car full of singing cats to the next step to their fur-ever home sounds like something you’d love, please let us know!! 🐾

This is Mr. Cat Lady’s view today - I recently got a new vehicle and the first thing we both said is - “there’s room for more cats!” 😹

He’s driving cats from the Humane Society of St. Joseph County as well as other local shelters to Chicago-area rescues. 🚙

These rescues help overcrowded shelters like ours with some of the harder-to-place cats, those with medical issues and others that just need a fast-track to a new family! 😺

The Humane Society is always looking for more volunteer drivers! Please email [email protected] to sign up.

Mr. Cat Lady doesn’t like any attention but I have to brag on him. He’s the best. 💜

We always support the Fighting Irish as our hometown team… ☘️

Adoptions #148 and #149 🎉🎉🎉

The Weis family had a tough time deciding who to adopt because we had so many sweet kitties to choose from!

They visited us several times and selected My Melody and Keroppi to join their family this weekend! 🐾🐾

They had quite the discussion when it came to what their new names will be - we are waiting patiently for updates! 😹

These two kiddos are having an extra-happy holiday season. 🎄
