CLOSING EARLY!!
We are closing at 3pm today so our staff can enjoy New Years Eve with friends and family! We will be closed tomorrow, and will reopen for normal business hours Thursday at 8am! If your pet is having an emergency please call Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital or Veterinary Emergency, Critical Care & Referral Hospital.

Winter is here! This is a reminder that when picking out salt to put out in your driveway, or anywhere your pets walk to, please make sure that it says, "pet safe". Pet safe salts don't have the dangerous chlorides that other pet salts have. Non-pet safe salts can cause irritation and even burns to your pet's paw pads and can be dangerous if they ingest it licking their paws as well.

We know decorating the house, having family over, and enjoying a holiday meal adds to the holiday fun, but there are things to watch for that can endanger your pet. Check out the graphic below for the 4 things to make sure your pet doesn’t get into this holiday season. If you think your pet has ingested anything, or chewed on any Christmas lights, then give us a call at 207-384-2123 so we can get them seen as soon as possible. If this happens when we are closed, we recommend seeking out ER care at Port City in Portsmouth, NH or VECC in Newington, NH.

When she is not managing or head teching the staff here, you can find Bree honing her skills at Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital in their ER. You have likely also seen her shadow, Kyro the Great Dane, helping out up front. This is the week to recognize the woman behind the scenes who strives to keep the cogs of the wheels turning as smoothly as possible. Thank you, Bree!

We have limited availability for appointments this week, if your pet needs to be seen please call us tomorrow to get in, as Dr. Zelman will be out of the office Tuesday-Friday and we will not be able to see appointments during the days she is gone. You can also utilize our online portal to book an appointment for tomorrow as well! We will resume normal office hours next Monday 9/23.
