We have limited availability for appointments this week, if your pet needs to be seen please call us tomorrow to get in, as Dr. Zelman will be out of the office Tuesday-Friday and we will not be able to see appointments during the days she is gone. Hey humans! I’m Yaya, and I’m on the hunt for my forever throne, err, home. As a former baby-making machine, I’ve decided it’s time to retire from my busy life and bask in the glory of being your one and only fur baby.

My resume includes: a full-time cuddle enthusiast, a part-time nap specialist, and a champion in lounging with impeccable style. I might not be your go-to walking buddy (unless you have a magical teleportation device), but I promise to be the best lap warmer and bed hog you’ve ever had. I’m all about quality snuggles and occasional snoozing.

Let’s talk weight loss: I’ve shed over 10 pounds and am strutting my stuff like a pro! I’m on a strict diet plan that includes minimal treats (don’t hate me for begging!) and regular meds for my eye and bladder – but hey, who isn’t on a regimen these days?

My ideal castle has no other pets (because I like to rule solo), and a fenced-in yard would be a nice bonus, though it’s not a must. Less stairs mean more lounging opportunities, and a family with lots of home time would be perfect, so I never have to endure the dreaded “alone time.”

I promise, with my sweet face and loving heart, you won’t want to miss out on being my forever humans. Ready to make me the Queen of your castle?

September- Pet Pain Awareness Month
- A question that we are often asked is “how can I tell if my pet is in pain if they cannot tell me?” Pets can be very stoic in how they communicate that they are in pain, so at times they may not show any signs. The most common responses to look for are depression, aggression, limping, resistance to petting or grooming, not eating, panting excessively, and much more. How we wear our baby goats here 🤣

Supposedly quite common in Asia and the Soviet Union, not something Dr Z has seen in 22 years of practice. Thelazia - it’s heeeere!

We released the crazies for a little today! Kyro the Great Dane belongs to our head tech Bree, Magic & Digit the chocolate labs belong to our manager Debi.

Ear mites will infest cats and dogs external ear canal. Symptoms can range in severity depending on the level of the infestation. They can affect one or both ears, and their presence often causes inflammation and extreme itchiness. Pets affected by ear mites will scratch at their ears and shake their heads to attempt to relieve their discomfort. We had a cat in that had an infestation and here is what it looks like under the microscope.

April is Heartworm Awareness Month. With us going into the peek of the heartworm season it is important to keep your pet on preventative. The Heartworm Association recommends to keep your pet on year round preventative.
