Yippee, we did it! With the help from our incredible community, friends and even strangers, the Halifax Dog Squad reached 10 years...which is like 70 Dog years! After a recent recount, we discovered that over 4,000 dogs have been rescued. Now that's a lot of slobbery kisses! We've loved every minute of it...well, almost every minute - there were those oops moments in our cars and vans. We appreciate your help every day, but the need is still there, so we'd love your assistance. Can you spare a dollar or $10 to celebrate our anniversary? We'd be ever so grateful. Our hardworking members and many, many fur babies thank you!

Microchip and make sure you register the chip!! A very happy ending!!

A very happy ending for little Bella!
Bella was found as a stray in Nathalie area. Luckily Bella was chipped and her mom had registered her chip. (some people chip and never register the number). Bella and her family have recently moved into the Nathalie area from Springhill, Florida.
We called the company that had the chip registered and now this sweet little girl is back in her mom's lap.

After 2 exhausting days we feel we hopefully made a difference in Halifax County. Halifax Dog Squad, Inc. was able to participate thanks to our great supporters. With the Wine and Cheese event we had in December we were able to raise funds for our spay/neuter fund! So we thank every single sponsor and all the supporters that came to the event.
On top of this 2 day event HDS also transported dogs too heavy for Peta to the Spay/Neuter Clinic in Evington.
Again we thank you our supporters for helping make this possible!
Teaming up with Halifax County SPCA helped make this such a great successful event!

The Halifax Dog Squad and Paws And Claws SPCA have made a significant impact, bringing the Peta medical vans to South Boston and providing vital care to nearly 300 cats and dogs. Their efforts are a testament to the power of teamwork in driving positive change.
What a way to celebrate the Halifax Dog Squad 10th anniversary.
We are always striving to address the root causes of animal homelessness.
Thanks to the Gazette Virginian for allowing us to set up in their parking lot and to all the volunteers working to make it happen. And thanks to the awesome medical teams who performed an unbelievable feat in just 2 days! You rule!

We are so grateful to have 8 amazing PETA staff members here who will be working hard to spay and neuter over 250 animals between Tuesday and Wednesday! We feel truly blessed that they continue to choose our little town and support our community with their time and talents.
