SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!
Cold weather can be deadly to your pets. We encourage you to contact Animal Control or local law enforcement agencies because pets left outside in extreme temperatures, especially without food or shelter, are at risk of hypothermia, frostbite and even death. Their owners are also at risk of facing criminal charges.

The act of leaving a pet outside without food or adequate shelter is against the law in Virginia. Neglect is a crime. Especially in these cold months, it is important for people to bring their pets inside and for others to report neglected animals to law enforcement.
If it is too cold for you, it is too cold for them!

We would like to thank each and every supporter and sponsor that has helped Halifax Dog Squad have such a productive 2024! You are greatly appreciated!
Donations and new partnerships with larger rescues have made a tremendous impact on our ability to help dogs in our community this year. We hope to keep this momentum going well into the new year!
Let’s take a walk down Memory Lane and remember a few of this year’s dogs and puppies who received their new beginnings and second chances through HDS…because of your help and generosity. Here’s to hoping 2025 will be even better!

Sunday December 15 is the last day to bid on our tree. Go by Factory Street Brewing Company company. All proceeds go to dogs in our foster care.

Come by Factory Street Brewery to bid on Christmas Trees. Silent Auction starts November 27 until Sunday December 15. All profits go to each non profit that has a decorated tree.
Halifax Dog Squads proceeds go to the "DOGS"! Your support is greater appreciated!!!

Remember the Halifax Dog Squad on GIVING TUESDAY.
With winter upon us it means more strays, more vet visits, the need for more food and heating bills for our facility. Every dollar you donate goes to the dogs and it is tax deductible. You can help by donating and if you have room in your heart and home, fostering or adopting one of our sweet pups.
We also have a very special Holiday benefit on 12/12 at the beautiful Noblin House on Washington Ave. Tickets are still available for $30 from HDS Members, Hite Insurance in Halifax and The Tourism and Visitors Center. The money raised at this event goes to our Spay & Neuter program.
