February 27th is World Spay Day! There are many health and behavioral reasons to spay your pets:
🐾 It reduces the chances or mammary tumors.
🐾 It prevents pyometra (infections of the uterus).
🐾 It can prevent some negative behaviors.
🐾 It will eliminate heat cycles and unwanted pregnancies.
Dogs and cats can be spayed as early as 5 to 6 months before the first heat cycle occurs, although this may differ with larger breed dogs. Call us if you have any questions or if you want to schedule a spay.
