Blue Rider Monday!

Last week was so bitterly cold, but the horses all came through it well, thanks to the efforts of our amazing staff. We’re appreciating this (slightly) warmer weather, and grateful to have gotten through the darkest part of the year! The days are getting longer, and soon the horses will be shedding again....

Brrrrr! 🥶 Temperatures this week are frigid, with -10°F when we started this morning, but the horses are doing fine! Arlo, Garuda, Mia, Hekla, and Billy Boy have found the warmest spot in Berkshire County; no wind in the barn and the morning sun make it fairly comfortable. The herd is getting extra hay to help them stay warm, and they're very happy to spend some time in the big pasture. They have constant access to warm water, and those that need blankets get them 🫏
