We are very excited to welcome our newest board member! Rachel Bernstein – Director of Therapeutic Partnerships and Community Relations

Rachel was a PATH Int. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor for 7 years in Massachusetts where she worked with clients from ages 4 to 84. She was also Massachusetts State Licensed to teach riding. There she worked with adults and children with mental, physical, and emotional challenges. She specializes in children and adults with sensory processing challenges as well as emotional challenges such as PTSD.

Therapeutic Riding and Equine Facilitated Learning is her passion. Rachel has taught students from the Perkins School for the Blind, Spaulding Rehabilitation, The Wounded Warriors Program, and many other groups in Massachusetts.

Since moving back to Maine, Rachel has been working in healthcare in senior living as an activities professional specializing in memory care therapeutic activities. 🎀🐎🐴🌸⭐️

We are accepting more healthcare facilities to visit in May 2025 and on. Weekend bookings only. Please inquire and learn more about our mission at ImpactHorse.org Share with activity directors. We charge a fee for our 1.5 hour specialty visits with a therapy trained and registered miniature horse who comes inside the facility. Regular weekend visits preferred in Southern Maine. Thank you!

Community-driven equine-assisted learning ventures provide a space where individuals can engage in collaborative activities with horses.

Are you ready for the new year?! A quick post to say Happy Birthday, Toast! December 30th was a special day. 2025 is going to be another wonderful year and we can't wait to continue making an everlasting impact with our therapy mini horses.

✨✨We have a great opportunity for horse or animal loving individuals (ages 18+) to assist with our therapy visits, traveling with us, prepping and cleaning our mini horse trailer / helping with trailering, general equine care, grooming the mini, and assisting inside the healthcare facilities alongside our team.

There is an orientation course that all interested volunteers need to complete. Interested parties can email us directly to see what weekend days we need help and coverage. We offer therapy horse visits and community events on the weekends seasonally May-November in Southern Maine. Thanks for your time!

Thank you Veterans!

This Veterans Day, we celebrate the courage and sacrifice of our veterans and recognize the healing role that horses play in their journey to recovery.

Equine therapy is helping many veterans find peace and strength, offering a unique way to cope with PTSD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. The connection with horses fosters trust, emotional healing, and a sense of calm that’s often difficult to find.

We thank all those who served and the incredible horses who are helping them find peace.
