Sweet Willow (3 year old, Yorkie) came in today for her dental with our team! We were able to get full dental x-rays, and extract a few teeth that were ouchie! Thank you to Dr. Amanda and her team, for helping Willow do well under anesthesia, and helping her dental disease. .

Christmas Week Update!! Hello everyone, we wanted to announce some exciting news happening the week of Christmas the 23-27th. While the clinic is physically closed that week, we want to ensure that any pet that may need to be seen by the vet can get help. Dr. Cassie Eakins has decided to open up our telemedicine appointments during the week of Christmas! A slab fracture is a common type of broken tooth in dogs that occurs when a dog bites down on a hard object at the right angle, causing a piece of the tooth to flake off. The most common cause of slab fractures is chewing on hard objects like bones or sticks. ...
Signs of a slab fracture in dogs include:

Facial swelling
Teeth grinding
Excessive drooling
Chewing on one side
Lymph node enlargement
Shying away when the face is petted
Refusing to consume hard food
Not wanting to chew on hard treats or toys.
