Anyone who knows managers Roxanne and Latasha knows that they have pet spiders. This post is a reminder of their “why”.
If they are this kind and thoughtful to a tiny little spider, imagine how they feel about the rest of the pets they get to help take care of!
Love you peeps for giving so many living creatures your whole hearts and souls. Xoxoxox Dr. Pam
This is Eight.
Lives in my bathroom and has chosen a quiet area next to my orchid as a shelter. Every day I leave a cotton hyssop soaked in water, in the place where it is: on the plant, behind the toilet or near the toilet furniture. And he comes, gently, to drink.
My first reaction ? I could of cleared it out.
But why would he do it?
I didn't choose fear or disgust. I choose respect.
Eight is tiny compared to me.
And yet, in the invisible net of natural balance, he matters.
It matters more than I could imagine.
Every creature, even the smallest one, has a role.
Spiders, for example, keep other insects at bay, protecting plants and contributing to the health of the environments in which we live.
Nature does not do anything by chance.
Each way of life has a meaning, a purpose, a contribution..
Being kind to the smallest creatures is a powerful act.
I invite everyone to reflect on the language we use:
they are not "gross", nor "useless".
They are part of this world, exactly like us.
