Hoarding…It’s not the way to go. We understand things happen and people get in over there head. We are not judging anyone, however most hoarding cases lead to health problems for humans and cats. Please ask for help, even if the world gives you problems, there is always someone who is willing to help. Never give up!!
Yesterday we were contacted about Intaking some kittens from a home that had 16 and 2 more pregnant cats. The other rescue will be getting the adults fixed and vetted but we were able to help with 5 kittens.
These 5 didn’t know how to use a litter box and they were starving. Loaded with fleas, smelt of urine but seemingly healthy. We’ve given capstar, flea treated and gave all babies profender for tapeworms.
They are super happy, very affectionate and love being able to sleep in a clean space.

TNR
Very proud of ALL our TNR volunteers!
A request comes in and it gets posted in the group and most of them have been picked up. Now remember it all depends on the location as we are all volunteers and have lives of our own.
Help them out by leaving a positive review on our page if you have been contacted and helped by one of our TNR Volunteers!
They deserve a like and a nice comment!!!

Hello everyone
A short synopsis of the year 2024…
Between the friendly kitts/cats and feral cats we fixed approximately 500 kitties. This does NOT include our in-take fosters which was 160 and of those 160, 31 were/are medical cases. We still have a handful from 2023 that are now adults.
The feral cats that came from deplorable conditions or owners/caregivers passed on we placed in barns, please note this is only done as a last resort. We find a barn and they are set up with 30 days of food and litter to acclimate to their new home. Where the people are asking for mousers, so it is a win/win situation for the cats.
The facilities we use for our kittens is Comforts Place in Westland, Mitten Animal Hospital in New Hudson.
We lost 3 kittens to unknown illness, one kitten we lost had a severe heart defect.I lost a cat I was holding for a barn, I sent her in to MSU for necropsy found she had severe lung infection. Had I known I could have treated her.
For TNR cats we use All About Animals in Flint and Warren. We also use Pawsitive Care up in Holly. Unfortunately until Humane Society of Huron Valley gets more Vets their TNR program is on hold. (since April 2023)I have a handful of gals that will trap, get the cats to me then I make sure they get to the clinics wherever I have an appointment. Im usually on the road 4 to 5 days a week. Yes the miles rack up.
The beginning of 2025 started out a little slow, with weather below freezing we do not trap. Temp show be 32+ degrees as the brutal cold cats don’t even want to come out. Females bellies are shaved and boys bottoms are shaved. The boys do get a small spot shaved on their belly because of the tattoo. ALL feral cats get a tattoo and an ear tip. We are trying to use all spots available to us. And always hope caregivers can donate enough to cover the cost.
I ended up sick with the flu (A) a few weeks ago and am just getting back on my feet. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes on FB. Im taking it slow to get back
Jorden
A little Jorden update.
He’s doing very well overall, but now that he’s feeling better his “semi-feral” side is showing. We are working with him, pray he will find a home who understands him when he’s ready.
Jorden got a new tower today, he’s doing very well at climbing and balancing. He’s walking with his spine arched and legs straight.
