Meet our August Dog of the Month, the confident & charismatic Crimson! Miss Crimson is a three year old mini Goldendoodle with a lot of s***k. She is well known for her long dancer’s legs and bold personality. Crimson struts into daycare in knowing she’s the Queen of the Small Dogs! She’s often spotted bouncing around with her buddies, especially her Doodle doppelgangers. When she’s not running around with her friends, Crimson is found snuggling up with the staff here. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to hug our legs while we give her extra scratches. We are so excited to name Crimson as our August Dog of the Month! Congrats!

Meet our July Dog of the Month, the large & lively Louie! This handsome boy is a black Labrador Retriever. Though he’s definitely one of our beefier Labs and can put on a tough front, Louie is actually very sensitive. He loves hamming it up to our staff to get extra love! When he’s not taking advantage of getting extra pets, Louie is often seen chasing a Kong- or more likely the dog carrying it! He loves to buddy up with other dogs over the toys and is often spotted playing ‘keep away’ with his pals. It’s all in good fun though, as you’ll often see him ‘accidentally’ drop his toy to keep the game going! Everyone loves partying it up with this goofy guy! Congrats to our lovable lug, Louie, on becoming our July Dog of the Month!

Meet our June Dog of the Month, the bold & brilliant Brooks!
The first thing everyone can see about this handsome man is his strong, resilient demeanor. He saunters into daycare with an air of security & sense of seriousness. Brooks is resolute in doing things on his own time and in his own way. Once he gets back to the playgroup, the tough exterior melts away and Brooks hams it up! He starts by working our employees for extra pets & attention, which we love giving him. It’s hard to resist those soft brown eyes! Next, Brooks will start mingling with everyone and wrestling with his friends. He loves to cut loose, as shown by the huge smile on his face once he gets started! We love to party on with Brooks and are so proud to name him as our June Dog of the Month! Congrats! 🥳

Worried that regular boarding might be too much for your senior? Consider our Specialized Senior Care option!
Animal environments are often exhausting for the geriatric crowd and dogs with medical ailments, so this program is designed to minimize the stress on these pups. Our staff has training in caring for pets with special needs so we are able to understand the limitations they may have. Visitors in Specialized Senior Care have a personalized daily routine based around their individual needs, including multiple walks a day and large lounging areas.
We love our senior dogs and do everything we can to spoil them and ensure their utmost comfort! 🐶

🐶🎉 Meet our May Dog of the Month, the rootin’ tootin’ Rubie! 🐶🎉 Rubie is a Bernadoodle who is known for always having a smile on her face! 😁 Goofy and exuberant, Rubie wins over everyone she meets in an instant. You’ll often see a group of dogs trailing behind her as she bounds through playgroup, waiting for their chance to wrestle with sweet Rhubarb! This lady is the life of the party and always brings with her an infectious enthusiasm that’s hard to resist. Whether she’s playing in the pools, tossing around a Kong, or jumping in your arms for extra pets, Rubie is always spreading joy! She just brightens our day! We are so excited to name Rubie as our May Dog of the Month! It is well deserved 💙

🐶 Meet our April Dog of the Month, it’s the ever-gracious good boy, Gus! This handsome chocolate Labrador Retriever has been coming to daycare since 2021. Being the sweet, sensitive soul he is, Gus was pretty shy at first! He would stick to the staff he knew and was nervous making friends. Over time, he’s blossomed into a confident young man! Now Gus marches into the lobby with his tail wagging and a smile on his face, ready to play! Just like many of our Labs, he is often seen running around with a Kong or splashing in the pools in the summer. Gus LOVES the water and pool time is his absolute favorite time here! It’s a true treat to see how he’s grown over time. We are so proud to name Gus as our April Dog of the Month! 🎊 Congrats! 🎊

🐶 Meet our March Dog of the Month, the jaunty & joyous Joshua! Don’t let his big eyes and small stature fool you, Joshua runs the playgroup whenever he comes in! This little man is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a breed historically associated with the 17th Century British monarchy. Joshua knows he’s got royal roots and he loves to flaunt it! When he hears the call of his friends, Joshy runs into playgroup, ready for the day. Joshua loves to socialize with everyone he can and has a number of besties and girlfriends. After a full day of playing, you can always find him snuggled up with his best friends for a nap. Whenever he hears a large dog passing by, he is ready to let them know that he’s in charge- from the safety of the Extra Small room of course. We are so excited to name Joshua as our March Dog of the Month! 🎉 Congrats! 🎉

Meet our February Dogs of the Month, it’s the dynamic duo Jasper & Willow! These two balls of fluff are Keeshonds, a breed well known for their thick coats, foxy faces, and friendly & outgoing personality. Jasper & Willow are both perfect examples of this! They always look forward to their daycare days and it’s no secret! Willow can’t contain her excitement and often starts playing with Jasper as soon as they get in the lobby. She loves playing with her brother most of all, but makes a number of friends along the way! Jasper is a bit more mature and will be able to hold off on playing at least until playgroup starts. Then, all bets are off & his goofy side is unleashed! These two are quite the characters and we love to have them liven up our days. Congrats!

🍾🐶🎉 Meet our first Dog of the Month for 2024, the Terrific and Totally Tubular Tater Tot! This handsome Goldendoodle has been coming to the Dog Lodge for daycare with his friends since he was just a little Tot. He’s always had a fun-loving spirit and adores his playtime with all his buddies! You can spot his eager smile as soon as he pops out the car to come into our lobby. His enthusiasm is infectious- you can’t help but smile when you see him bounding to the door! His zest for life and joyous personality is a natural draw for both humans and dogs. Tater Tot is incredibly popular among his friends, he’s a true Prince of the pups. He’s got dozens of friends who love to play with him and you’ll often see him trotting around with his besties. We are thrilled to ring in 2024 with Tater Tot as our January Dog of the Month! Congrats! 🍾🐶🎉

🌈 In Memory 🌈
We at the Dog Lodge would like to pay tribute to two special ladies. You may recognize Lucy and Ethel as two longtime regulars. The two had made the Dog Lodge their second home since we opened our doors and we recognized them as staples in our Senior Care section.
You will never meet two more accepting dogs than Lucy & Ethel, they were happy to welcome anyone into their crew of special seniors- as long as they were at least willing to share the comfy beds! They were sweet, kind hearted, and endlessly spoiled whenever they would visit. Every employee here knew Lucy & Ethel and looked forward to their visits.
Heartbreakingly, Ethel passed over a year ago. Though she missed her sister, Lucy continued to come to see us and made wonderful friends. It was only recently that Lucy rejoined her sister and crossed the rainbow bridge. The loss is sad for us here at the Dog Lodge and Lucy & Ethel's wonderful parents who just adored the both of them. Still, we remember the good times- the belly scratches, the long naps on the bed, the perfectly timed dinner put down right in front of them so they wouldn't have to get up- these two lived full lives full of love, as they deserved!
We are so thankful to have known these two special girls, and all the amazing dogs who have come into our doors. Rest well, Lucy and Ethel. We were so blessed to be your second home ❤️

On Monday, December 27th, we had to say goodbye to Miss Elizabeth. She lived a life full of joy and comfort, loved by everyone here at the Dog Lodge as well as her hospice foster family. She brought sunshine and smiles to everyone who saw her. Thank you to everyone who supported us in providing her the life and comfort she deserved. We miss you Elizabeth. Run free with Gracie over the rainbow bridge 💙🌈
