Baby chick update!

They are almost 2 weeks old got to step outside for a moment today. Since tomorrow is 85 degrees I may let them roam outside in the chick tractor.

Made the switch in the coop to pine pellets!

Pine shavings have been the worst they don’t break down well, they barely absorb, and they are a mess! And they have to be changed way too often for me.

Sand was easier to maintain but it didn’t cover the smell as well as I wanted. Getting bags of sand was a pain to deal with since it was so heavy! But was more cost effective than the shavings.
