The worst part about We Got This is that we have to turn kids away who want to work. This past Saturday was the 4th in a row that we reached capacity. This week, at 7:48 we had well over 100 kids lined up and checking in for work.Β

Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community.

It’s celebrated in July because the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed by President George H.W. Bush on July 26, 1990. It was a landmark law that prohibited discrimination against people with disabilities. In that same year, Boston held the first Disability Pride Day and Chicago hosted the first Disability Pride Parade in 2024.
