Hey everybody, meet Roxie! This pretty little girl is with us for her 2 Week Board and Train Program! We will be working on tuning up her obedience, leash reactivity, and confidence building. Roxie came to us with her muzzle on for safety until she felt comfortable and secure. Four hours later, the muzzle was off, and within 24 hours, she had made 3 new friends! Roxie is doing great so far!

We had the pleasure of being able to attend our friends at Lucky Pup Rescue Adopt-a-Tree Festival 2024! We have been a sponsor for many years, but hadn't been able to attend before. This is an incredible event put on by an amazing group of volunteers. We work closely with our friends Sue and Kirstin and are grateful for all their hard work! These ladies and their team accomplish some amazing feats! We were able to see some beautiful trees, wreaths, and cute dogs, of course. Santa and his team did a great job wrangling dogs to get awesome pictures! We can't wait for next year!

I went to Max's house yesterday to help his owners get him in their truck. Max's has needed to come for more training for months, but when they bought their truck, Max was super afraid of it. A lot of different tricks and coaching hadn't worked, so we had to do this in person. Max is fairly insecure about a lot of things and confidence building will be key. We started this process with walk to get him calmer. Once he realized we weren't going to the truck right away he stopped panicking. When we got back he sat calmly next to the truck for the first time ever. We let him take his time in baby steps along with a bit of food bribery. The key was for the humans to stay calm and patient and not put pressure on him. We had success! Max had a lot of "firsts" in about 1-1/2 hours. Go Max!

We had so much fun with Romi in her lesson the other day! We worked her obedience, and then she warmed up on her slat mill. Then she ran next to her Dad's scooter. Boy, is she fast! Pipper came for another lesson to work on some distraction training! First, we walked by dogs on the road, and he and his owner worked through that well! Then we were lucky enough to have my brother Kregg volunteer to ride my motorcycle around for a distraction. Pipper has struggled in the past with bicycles and motorcycles. Our Story

Hi everyone, my name is Kris Potter, owner of Kompletely K-9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation in Maine. The reason I started my business was to help dog owners like you improve the relationship with their dogs by providing information, guidance, understanding and results. I want you to have the experience of having a calm and well behaved dog. Over the years my own dogs have had issues and challenges ranging from bad leash manners to fear, anxiety and aggression issues. Through my volunteer work helping shelter/rescue dogs, I have seen many being relinquished due to varying degrees of behavioral problems. I have seen many other dog owners just like you struggling, becoming frustrated, and feeling hopeless. Don't be afraid or concerned if other trainers have told you they cannot help your dog. We specialize in training and rehabilitating your fearful, anxious, or aggressive dog. Together we can create a well balanced and behaved dog that you will enjoy for years to come. There is hope for your dog no matter the breed or age.

We provide one-on-one private training at our facility or in your home as well as our very popular Board and Train programs. We train dogs for real world situations and not just to perform in a classroom. I believe that your dog should be trained using a balanced, fair, and effective approach that produces real results.
