Hydroponic Cucumbers (and Microgreens of course) for sale today !!! These beauties were grown by our friends indoor farm. How great is it to get fresh, delicious, locally grown cucumbers in February?!?!

BIG NEWS!!! HRH has been awarded the CT Grown for CT Kids shipping container farm grant from CT Dept of Agriculture! We are very excited to grow our operation by adding two more shipping container farms later this year. HRH will expand its offerings to grow hydroponic lettuce/leafy greens and more varieties of microgreens. We will use the funding from the grant to supply school cafeterias here in CT. Thanks to everybody who has helped us and supported us along the way. We love what we do and the best is yet to come!!! Stay tuned, making BIG moves this year ✌️🌱👨🏻🌾

Hey farm friends!! This Thursday is the first day of the winter market. The winter market is at a new location at Gilbertie’s herb garden in Westport just around the corner from the Summer market location. We are happy to say we will be selling our greens there EVERY week this winter!! Hope to see you on Thursdays 10-2 😁🌱

Do you know who grows your food? Come on down to the and actually talk to her people who grow/cook/bake your food. We all have a story and want to share it with you! All you have to do is ask. The greens on our table were harvested less than 24 hrs ago. We’re sampling Micro Arugula today. Markets open 10-2! Come meet some of the vendors. Looks like the rain is going to hold off until tonight.

New summer recipe! Saw this on instagram and it was actually super tasty!! Toasted bread, Burrata cheese, prosciutto, grilled peaches and thinly sliced tomatoes, topped with micro basil and arugula with a drizzle of hot honey. It is light but filling and packed with flavor!

Another batch of Red Amaranth starts its growth journey under the lights today! These seeds have been stacked and germinating for several days, and today they were put under the LED lights in the shipping container farm. They’ll live under the lights for another couple weeks until harvest!

Markets open!!! 10-2 in Westport. So many amazing vendors, the farms are in full swing! Tomatoes, amazing flower bouquets, and all the pleasures of summer. And yeah it’s a hot one, BUT had a cold plunge setup today! First one in gets a free box of micros!

The sun is shining and the market is OPEN! If you have never been to you have to come by!! Such an amazing community vibe of vendors, live music, birds chirping, the smell of freshly baked breads and bacon on the griddle, friends laughing, kids playing and so much more! Grateful to be a part of this community :)

You can find what’s left of them this Saturday at New Canaan Farmers market 10-2 or Terrain in Westports Dig into Spring event! They will be gone before you know it! We had an epic foraging sesh yesterday. These Ramps are more flavorful than I’ve ever had in years past! They really pack a 🥊 Feeling super grateful for mother nature to provide this amazing resource. We also foraged some fiddlehead ferns and trout lilies (not for sale). HUGE shout out to my peeps @_petals_and_threads_ and @thirstygazelle I am beyond grateful for you guys and the community we are building to bring amazing foods and products to our community! Exciting day at the farm building and testing the automated watering system for our delicious microgreens! No leaks! Just need to sanitize the flood table, get the flow rate dialed in, get that pitch correct and we’re in business! So excited to add this step of automation to our processes to get a more consistent product and eliminate several labor hours of watering.
