Friends of Animal Rescue A 501c3 nonprofit organization that cares for the lost, homeless, and injured animals on South Padre We are the voice of the animals.

Friends of Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) that was formed in February of 2010. Friends operates the South Padre Island Animal Shelter and is under contract with the City of South Padre Island to We do not believe in euthanizing for the sake of over population, thus we are a no kill shelter for the City of South Padre Island.

Cuddly cats and kittens available for adoption at Friends of Animal Rescue. Our adoption fee is $25 and covers spay/neuter, vaccines, testing for FIV/Felv and a microchip. We are open 10-5 daily at 4908 Padre Blvd.

Yesterday was a wonderful day as Brian and Paulie found their home with an adopter who already has one cat from us. We are so excited to see them leave and start life in their FUR-ever home. Meet Chris...he's our Mutt puppy, isn't he cute? Chris is approximately 4-5 months old, loves everyone, loves to play, and appears to be mixed with a couple of breeds. Chris currently weighs 20 pounds and will probably double in weight. Chris would love to say hello to you. He is in our shelter at 4908 Padre Blvd. We are open daily 10-5. Ready to foster or adopt?
