For those of you who have not seen the news recently about microchip company "save this life", they have abruptly shut down business. This means if your pet's microchip is registered to them, it has been unlinked from their database and the information cannot be used to help find your pet if lost. The chip used is still effective, but your information will need to be re-registered to another company using the same chip. Below are a few companies that you can use to register your pet, such as Petlink, Homeagain, or AKC reunite, etc. WE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR OUR CHIPS IN CLINIC!! If you had your pet microchipped through us at the clinic, we use Homeagain and you will not need to do anything further. If you are unsure where your pet is registered to/ company of chip, please bring your pet in to get scanned and you can find your pets information using this link: https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/
