We are just finishing up some final touches to our building and will be back up and running in no time! In order to allow us time to complete such things, we will continue to do meet-and-greets by appointment only. We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins at this time.

Friendly reminder! Please take advantage of our microchip clinic!

Microchips are great for permanent identification that is tamper-proof. A microchip helps us identify one's pet and immediately return them to their owner.

Come any day and any time to the shelter and a member of staff will chip your pet. We are open 7 days a week from 11 am to 4pm.

We have had and influx of people needing to surrender their pet for all different reasons allergies/new baby/moving/life change/new partner mistreating the pet.

We know these decisions do not come lightly and when you come in with your pet you fill out paper work which includes you signing over the pet to the shelter. Once this paper is signed the pet is the "property"(we also do not love this word but according to the State of New Jersey that's what pets are) of the shelter.

While we sympathize with you as the person surrendering, we immediately begin to process what the pet will need for adoption and when you leave we post them immediately. Our goal is to make the pet adoptable and have them adopted as soon as possible so they do not feel abandoned or shut down due to the shelter environment.

Once your pet is surrendered, we will not allow for visits as this is torture for the pet and causes confusion/stress for the pet.

Meet Max!

Max is a 1 year old Husky that was recently surrendered to the shelter. He is super smart and friendly and keen to learning, as he is very food motivated. Max seems to walk well on a leash and knows simple commands. He seems to do well with other dogs and would be a great addition to any home.
