Welcome Dr. Meltzer!
Please join us in welcoming our new grad Dr. Jacquelyn Meltzer who joined our team this Summer! Dr. Meltzer grew up in Pennsylvania and moved to Maine to attend the University of Maine where she obtained her bachelor’s of science in animal science. During school, she began working at Cape Vet as a technician until she went on to veterinary school at Louisiana State University. Dr. Meltzer is a second career veterinarian and also holds a degree in accounting and finance. Her special interests include cardiology and integrated holistic medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, eating, and hanging out with friends. She currently lives in Windham with her husband, dog (Bane), and two cats (Alice and Felix). Welcome back Jaquelyn, we are so proud of you!

Puppy Party!!!

A kind Samaritan brought in this wee mouse on Friday that they found in a parking lot, and we have LOVED nursing him! Because he's so small, we had to dip a tiny paintbrush into his milk so he could nurse. And one of our techs, Elise, took him home and woke up every 2 hours to feed him. Some people may not understand that kind of dedication to a mouse, but to us, all creatures great and small deserve the same chance! 💕🐭
