Keeping them in tip top shape while breeding. 😎
Edit: Just for clarity for those asking I should add why I use this (as well as a multi-vitamin powder), when, and how often. I use this with adult females that are going through the breeding process and will start using this when they are building follicles or just before. I will supplement their food every 3rd feeding or so. Sometimes more frequently sometimes less. Females get hit really hard during breeding and developing eggs by having their reserves get depleted. I have seen that the clutches (and also resulting offspring) just seem better when I do this vs when I didn’t do it. The clutches where I did supplement had better looking eggs with fewer windows and the resulting offspring were robust as well. I realize this is anecdotal as I am not measuring anything but a little common sense comes into play here. I have also seen that older females who have had multiple clutches can develop skeletal issues and I think it has to do with them using their calcium reserves and cannot keep pace with growing follicles multiple times. Once feed cycling is done I go back to feeding regular mice with no supplements.
