Did you hear?

Reminder! The Obedience program is closed this week 9/10 and 9/11 there will be no classes for Obedience due to the clean up efforts. We expect classes to resume the first week of October. This does not affect Nosework Center classes. If you have questions feel free to message the club!

To all Obedience and drop in classes,

The SPDTC board met on Sunday 9/8.
The assessments on the water damage are near completion.
Due to the extent of the damage and the necessary repairs to the training areas all obedience, drop in classes and Puppy classes are suspended through September 30.
Thank you for your patience during this time of clean up and repair.
Notices will be sent for reopening and resuming of classes when that becomes available.

It’s time to take an extended holiday and work dogs at home! We have sustained some water damage and are cleaning up! No classes or access to the club the week of 9/2/24 to 9/8/34.
Credits already restored to drop in classes for Obedience and block classes will be extended a week! Thank you!

Last night St Paul Dog Training hosted a few dogs for AKC Canine Good Citizen tests and we had some passing dogs! Basil was one of them and the long term goal for this team is Therapy dog classes with Sheryl Juhl!
If you are interested in a therapy dog class or the Canine Good Citizen prep class or test look for upcoming dates on the website!

Yas Bakshian is a long time beloved nose work instructor for SPDTC, nose work trial and event host, and a regular competitor in both nose work and agility. She’s been fighting a battle with breast cancer since late 2023, and the battle will continue for many more months.
A benefit for Yas will be held August 18th at Fusion Pet Retreat and Shady Oak Vet, with a goal of restoring some of the financial impact resulting from her treatment. The benefit will include Agility Fun-Runs and a Nose Work Sniff - n – Go, along with a raffle. See the below flyer for more details and links to sign up. The fall AKC Scent Work trial is coming up on September 27-29 at the Rice County Fairgrounds in Faribault! We're offering Detective, Novice-Master buried, containers and exteriors, and Novice-Advanced interiors, with judges Holly Bushard, Bonnie Gutzwiler and Scott Wenzel. Sport Puppy Agility is on our calendar! Starts August 1, at 5 pm. Limited spots available. To register, go to our website at SPDTC.com under Training then Agility. Your registration is confirmed once payment is made at the time of registration. Class is limited to 6 puppies.

Puppies must be at least 12 weeks and vaccinations are required.
