I posted this photo the other day because I wanted to make those that follow our page aware of what we within rescue are dealing with.
This evening we experienced such a cowardly disrespectful post in another group where an individual took a video of the adoption house. In this video, it showed a hairball that had yet to be cleaned up as well as telling everyone about the horrendous smell. What this coward failed to do is explain that they had walked past our adoption house while we were there cleaning. Now, if any of you pet owners know that cleaning litter boxes, unfortunately doesn’t smell as wonderful as a Tom Ford cologne!
In fact, as much as we may try to keep the odor under control during cleaning, it is not until after all of the chores are done, litter boxes clean, disinfected, floors are steamed and the laundry put away that really truly is no horrendous odor. There was a lot of hateful people in their comments, but we’re not going to acknowledge them because as the saying goes haters hate and they will find anything to hate about and thrive on negativity and chaos. What we will acknowledge is the fact that our dedicated supporters were there backing us. Those who have adopted from us to those that volunteer for us stood by our side because they know. They know how hard we all work all day every day to make the lives of the unwanted animals as safe and as comfortable as we can. To the cowardly individual who decided to post that video hours after the fact in which it was taken, shame on you! The Lord saw what you did and may karma with her sister comeuppance pay you a visit.
But it’s things like this that makes us think that perhaps it’s time we say goodbye? Perhaps it’s time to close our adoption house and close this chapter of our 27 years of dedication to the animal welfare and rescue of Minnesota animal. We are just so heartbroken.
