Frank was able to fill his Illinois buck tag on a stud deer! Might’ve had a little extra help because he was supporting the Dog-On Bottomland hat. Congrats Frank!

Welcome Boaz to Dog-On Kennels! Boaz is a 2 year old Belgian Malinois imported from the Netherlands. We are working on cleaning up his obedience, and will start imprinting him on odor.

Duke went 2 for 2 tonight.

Kind of long post. The hunter felt he had made a good shot on a doe because an hour before he had shot a bobcat in the same field. After shooting the doe he went and could not find any blood or hair. He said he had shot or shot at another deer this past Saturday and was the same thing no blood or hair. He felt he had missed both, but wanted to make sure being he had hit the bobcat. Turned Duke out and he tracked the doe that was shot this evening about 60 yards with no blood. I asked where the deer was shot Saturday and he said some field ran the same direction. We went back out to the field and sent Duke again. It took him a few minutes to find the trail from Saturday but was able to get on it and recover it as well. 48-50 hour old track and was able to locate it out of the same woods as the deer shot this evening.

Astro was able to put his training to work today. Astro and Jake McLendon have been impressive with their work. Astro is a puppy of our yellow female Remi.

Stanley came to us for obedience, gun dog, and deer tracking training. He got to show off his skills in the tracking tonight. Stanley tracked this deer about 250 yards and it was still alive. Stanley barked at deer until his owner got to him to dispatch the deer. Heck of a way to start of his tracking!

Chase is going through blood trailing/deer tracking training. Odor recognition is complete now working on a search pattern to make searching more efficient. Come deer season Chase will be ready to recover any deer his owner or owner’s friends are unable to locate.

Bo - Week 4 of Puppy Training Program

This is Bo the Boykin. In this video Bo was 17 weeks old and had been through 4 sessions of our puppy program. Bo and his owner have done really well and have accomplished so much in such a short time.

Sadie’s first duck

Sadie loves the new pond. And she didn’t even hesitate on her first real bird. This pup is doing great and can’t wait to see what all she learns in this next month of training!

This is Sadie one of Remi’s pups. Spencer and Erica Sawyer brought her back last weekend to start obedience training. Sadie is making great progress. Here is a little heel and recall work.

The pups are doing great! Eyes are open and they are all getting around great. They are 3 weeks old today. Can’t wait to see them continue to grow and turn into amazing dogs for everyone. Puppies have received there first round of wormer, and will be checked by the vet to receive their 6 week shots before going to the new homes.
