Serafina is the last dog in the Chronicals of the K-9 Boys & Girls on Locus Street.

All her pals are on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. She was found on the streets of Fairview, NJ. She was the only puppy in the pound with a bunch of cats.

She thinks she is a cat and loves to snuggle on high places and loves my
daughter-in-law's cats.

There are several stories she will be featured in 2025.I have many stories to release now but with all my technology with glitches and no money to replace it right now, I am into a hiatis mode and while typing with one finger will attempt to do updates.

Hey, hey, Mr. Cat
Do you want to lay by my feet?
It can be an unusual treat.

You slept in my slippers.
When a wee little kitten
Loved the aromas turning
You a connoisseur

You know my scent
By heaven descent
To make you know your worth
Up in heaven and here on earth
You are my baby,
Blue, you are my Mr. Cat!

I decided as a gift to myself a day of searching the web for all my poetry - there are places I have never been but apparently am - I have written mostly for charity and no time for promoting but knowing that others know me.

2017 was the year of many deaths in our immediate family, humans and animals. It took another year of mourning for my husband's death in April 2017.

This was the dynamics. of our furry children on Christmas day.

This is the side of rescuing that people don’t see, and just don’t realise how hard it is for us behind the scenes.
Strap in guys, while I explain.

This is Marcus.

His owner contacted me to ask me to rehome him, because….
‘He barks at other dogs and people when out so needs rehoming ’

Marcus is a 2 year old patterdale x Labrador.

He had been owned by said owner for… 5 weeks.

He’s just settling in, learning his new environment and family, and at only 2 years old he will be rather overwhelmed as well as adjusting to everything new.

Barking is how dogs communicate, and express their fears, and also excitement.

When I asked his owner what training she had been doing with Marcus to help him overcome his possible nervous behaviour, the answer was ‘he’s had none’

I explained I am full at the moment but I will let her know when I had room to fit him in.

2.5 hours later I receive a call from a vet practice.

Marcus had been taken to the vets to be EUTHANISED.

Put to sleep.
To end his life, because his owner could not be bothered to put any time or training into him.

THANKFULLY, the vets refused and called us.
They spoke to their behaviourist while they were there, and offered the owner sessions to help Marcus- the owner declined.

Killing him was the easy way to end her problem.

So, of course, with fear the owner would then just go to another vet and put him to sleep- I made room.
I don’t have room, but I’m not having it.

Marcus has been with us less than half an hour.
He has sat, taken a treat very gently.
Has met 6 dogs- enjoyed a sniff and his tail hasn’t stopped wagging

He hasn’t barked yet.

Too many people are getting pets without any consideration to the time they need to adjust, and expecting them to be ‘perfect companions’ without actually putting anything into them.

Take some responsibility and invest the time into them, you chose them to be part of your family. Stop destroying them just because you cannot be bothered to help them.
It’s not their fault.

You are safe Marcus, and loved.
You will never be treated so badly again, and that I can promise.

AND!! was recently adopted by a wonderful wonderful mommy Tina. Let’s just say that Jax is living the life, he deserves, he’s the king of the castle. He is spoiled and goes everywhere with mommy. She adores him beyond measure. This is Rescue!! 🩵

Here's a reason for thanksgiving! Stevie was adopted in March of 2016. His new family instantly fell in love and has taken great care of this sweet dog over the years. In July of 2022, we made a public post that Stevie had been operated on for cancer and that his prognosis wasn't good. Well.....Stevie's mom sent these photos of Stevie dreaming of Christmas in 2023, almost a year and a half after his poor prognosis!
Stevie's mom reports:
"It's been a year and a half since his surgery. He does have some new sores coming out, but still is doing great, eating good, enjoying his ride everyday. He's such a joy to my life. I thank God for him everyday." — with Heather Sklenar Williams and 2 others. Here's a reason for thanksgiving! Stevie was adopted in March of 2016.
