Just a typical morning w/ the geese arriving right on time for breakfast & a meet & greet in my backyard! I LOVE these amazing birds - They bring me so much joy .. Especially when I see them flying in together!!! 💕😃🙏🏻

💁🏼♀️—Apparently I missed posting about National Dog 🐕 Day yesterday .. and since I obviously adore my pooches so much 😉 .. I feel a little guilty? So here I am just a bit late w/ a video of Henry that my daughter made! 🤣 We also have a dog named Bambi who is also very special. 💕

While sitting outside just a bit ago I captured a Beautiful moment on video .. At one point there was sunshine & a wonderful rainfall happening at the same time. 😃
Storms ⛈ predicted here for today .. Nothing severe I believe but hopefully enough rain to water my flowers 🌸 thoroughly. Always nice getting a break from such a chore in hot weather.

You can barely tell which ones are the young geese/ducks anymore. It’s AMAZING how fast they’ve grown! I would imagine my daily feedings of cracked corn have helped a bit. 😉
They have been busy practicing their flying skills both in & out of the water - It’s so much FUN watching all of this take place. 😊
Some people would frown on having geese in their backyard because of the poo 💩 & feathers .. but I consider these beautiful birds as my friends. We can always learn so much by observing nature. Some of my most treasured moments take place in my backyard!

Beaver Update: Okay .. so he’s completely adorable but is already causing problems. I am quite amazed at what these animals are capable of! They are very hard workers! 😬 Although I admire a good work ethic .. I am concerned about him clogging up a culvert which drains high water out of the pond. Our backyard also has a culvert which drains a large amount of water 💦 during heavy downpours! If the two are connected in some way, our homes could flood?!?! I have contacted several people about this & trying to find out what can be done. These animals are protected by the Federal government from what I understand. I don’t want any harm to come to him! I am an animal-nature-wildlife lover (as I am sure y’all know).
He really does fascinate me but WOW! 🤦🏼♀️
Backyard Shenanigans: Beaver Siting! 👀
After watering my flowers last night I decided to look for the beaver that is making a home 🏠 in our pond. I actually found him swimming w/ his head above the water carrying something in his mouth. (He’s actually absolutely adorable but don’t want him destroying our trees). I caught him in his home chewing away at something .. roots of trees??? .. or whatever beavers chew on. 🤣 I was able to get a get close-up video 🎥 clip of his activity. Have a look .. you will only see his body & hear nibbling.
Probably will be calling Animal Control so we can find out what should be done. 🤔

It’s that time of year when the hummingbirds gather together & begin their fun-filled activities! They are so much fun to watch! I have around 4 right now that chase each other around the patio & feeders. Every time I get ready to film, they fly away. This is the best video 🎥 that I could capture of them at the moment.

💁🏼♀️ Seeing these 3 together again in my backyard totally made my day!!! 😃 They left a while back when the young goose was still small & now he’s so BIG! Still smaller than his parents .. but he has grown so much. I’m so happy that they came back to say “Hello.” Makes my heart ❤️ happy!

I feel so bad! 😞 I forgot to set his peanuts 🥜 out for him. He was looking 👀 everywhere for them. I couldn’t believe that he came that close to me .. while I was sitting on my swing outside. His peanuts are there now - I’m sure he will be back at some point today to eat. So sorry squirrel friend! 🐿
