I offer advance and routine dentistry for all breeds and ages! As a child growing up , I knew all I wanted to do was care for Equine. A dream of becoming an equine veterinarian is what led me to becoming a Dentist. This area of horse ownership is overlooked and I'm here to ensure every horse owner is aware of why dental work is important and what positive outcomes and preventive work can do for yo

ur horses health. As I am a certified riding instructor, horse trainer and vet technician at a small animal hospital I am here in every way to help you and your horse. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your equines heath team and I look forward to working with you.

Last Wednesday our residents were treated to top-knotch dental care by Equine Dental Solutions w/ Katie Herman! We wanted to share a few photos and give Katie a proper shout out for all she does!
We rely on an expert team of professionals to help us keep our rescue animals healthy. Between our dentist, veterinarian, farrier, hay supplier, and more -- it quite literally takes a village to make sure these guys have the best! We are so grateful to have Katie on our team 🥰

Big thanks to Thomas C Jett and Dr. Petruskie for overseeing these extractions with two different horses the last few days, I’m sure both horses are feeling so much better. What you see is expired molars in horses over 20 years old that were slightly loose, worn or infected causing pain and discomfort.

This was a fun one today. 7 year old BLM mustang. 107 hyper-erupted. Opposing molar is mostly missing. I will be seeing this guy again in 2 months for a follow up. You’d never know he had this malocclusion as he’s fat and chewing normally.

I want to thank everyone for the wonderful business year! I saw just about 1700 horses for the year of 2023. Thank you to Dearson Veterinary for supplying me with tools to perform my best work. I also appreciate all the local and non local veterinarians that help sedate and support my trade.
I love what I do everyday and it never feels like work.
For 2024-be mindful to reach out ahead of time as I am booking up quickly throughout the year!

Here is a 14 year old that had a float 2 years ago. This is why regular dental care and exams are so important especially in our young horses as their mouths can change rapidly. This horse presented with two fractured molars , a wave complex on the lower arcade and hooks. With all that said- this gelding was a healthy weight. So just because your horses is fat and happy does not mean they are comfortable in the mouth.

Pink arrow- Rostral hook forming.
Purple arrow- enamel sharp points.
Red arrow- abrasions to cheek from the sharp points
Green arrow- 108 fractured molars

Here’s a 8 year old mare with a decidous incisor(baby tooth) that never fell out when this horse was 4.5/5 years old.
