❤️🤠Howdy y’all dog lovers! Almost Home saved me from an undesirable living situation and I am really coming out of my shell. My name is Riley and I am a Borgi, or so I’ve been told, a Border Collie/Corgi mix. I am 3 years old, weighing 22 lbs, lower to the ground than some and love boot scootin’ boogie.

My foster mom knows I am very intelligent, yet modest and and loving. In the short time I have been in Michigan, I learned how to use a doggy door, to go into my crate on the “kennel up” command, learning about taking turns with the other dogs, and many new things are in the learning process.

I walk at heel on a leash and hold eye contact which foster mom said was great except I need to stay on her left and not change sides. We went for a car ride the other day and once I found out I couldn’t drive, I just laid down in the back seat and enjoyed the ride.

The other dogs in my foster home are small and older. I’ll cuddle with them for a nap but hoping my furever home has young pups like me who love to run and play. I don’t know what to do with toys yet and I haven’t seen a cat. I would probably zoom up to a cat to see if he would play.

I also have not been around children. I go up to people and stand up on them for hugs and pets so I might accidentally knock over a small child.
