We got to meet Trix a bunny that was just rescued. She has never been held or have had a nail trim. Longest nails on a bunny we ever saw.

We could tell she was wanting some love and knew we were there to help. We got so much off her nails.

Last month we said goodbye to our oldest client, Ms Lee, as she moved to West Virginia to live with her daughter. We have posted about Ms. Lee a few times over the last couple years. She held a special place in our hearts. At 97 years old she is one of the last few living Rosie the Riveters. She loved sharing her stories with us and telling us about her family. She also loved the Detroit Tigers. We decided to get her a stuffed Tigers monkey with a special dog tag from us. We will miss her greatly and wish her nothing but happiness with her daughter.

Gifts for the last 3 families have all been dropped off. A single mom of 3. An elderly couple struggling with day to day bills. And a 6 year old from the angel tree at Walmart. We tried to get as much off their wish lists as possible. Aaron is bummed no one asked for a Nintendo Switch. Our family had a great time shopping for everyone and we are honored to be able to help others out.

Dropping off gifts to our first family we adopted. We were contacted by a grandmother who was hoping we could help her 4 year old grandson. Not only did we make sure to get his Christmas wishes, we also made sure to get his mom some stuff to pamper herself. Additionally we made sure to get some food and household items to help out. And a small birthday gift for the boy who will be celebrating shortly after the holidays.

Christmas is just a week away. Our family would like to be able to help out a family or two that are struggling to make Christmas happen in their home. Maybe a family that came on hard times unexpectedly and weren’t able to take advantage of other programs or organizations that were established earlier in the season.

A client is currently fostering these cuties. We of course don't charge for puppies or kitties. Homes were found for all the kittens.

Meet Sweet Bailey. She is an adorable golden retriever who absolutely hates her nails being done. The owners drive from Monroe county to their sons house for us to cut her nails because no one else can do her nails. The first time we did her nails it took us a few tries. She fought almost the entire time. We have learned that the right combination of trazadone and blind folding her is exactly what she needs. This way she doesn't see the mean lady; I mean my beautiful wife, trimming her nails. Melissa says medication and avoiding looking at me is how she is able to handle me on a daily basis, so I guess it’s fitting.

Regardless, Bailey now gets a good nail trim with little stress and I leave without cuts to half my body. Everyone wins.

We are happy to announce that we are in a gift basket for the Brownstown Animal Shelter. All proceeds go to the animals at the shelter.

Which got me thinking. (I know I know Melissa says I shouldn't) but if their is a charity for this upcoming holidays. And you need vendors. We are offering several of free nail trims to good causes. They can scan the qr code and it takes them right to us.

Good idea? If you know someone please have the message us.

It's not often we trim a puppy's nails and we have to look outside to make sure the police were not called.

Tito is a pug and really doesn't like his nails done. His cries for help to his mother went unanswered. Mostly bc she was the one who called us. But he tried to scream and bite the entire time but in the end he got his razor nails cut.

Happy Sunday special funday

We don't share much of our personal lives on these posts, but we have had sooo many of you ask us to please post pictures. We had an amazing wedding yesterday. We are going on our honeymoon and will be back next Wednesday. We will respond to everyone who messaged us then.

If you want we can include more pictures of our wedding. It was quite epic. As I'm sure all of you assumed. Thank you for caring about us and making us feel like a special part of your families.

We love that we have a good reputation. In the animal industry it can be quite toxic for numerous reasons. But we have never slammed our competitors and believe that we all can work together for our 4 legged family members. We have always recommended Alicia from the The Golden Leash. She is living her dream and we are so proud of her. We have never met Lisa from The Groovy Pooch but we appreciate all the kind words and referrals she sends us.

We started during covid. Everything was shut down and people needed thier dogs nails done. We thought it was only going to be a few weeks or months but it has been so much longer.

We only provide nails ears and glands. We have been asked many times to do full grooming. But you wouldn't want us to do that. Also we can usually see our clients within a week. If we did full grooming it would be months. We are the in between grooming appts. When you don't need a full groom but just need nails.

Thank you to all our clients and people who has helped us though.

It's always sad when we have to say goodbye to our 4 legged family members.

Winnie I adopted out to my mother in 2011 when I was at the shelter. She was such a nice kitten. Told my mother she will be so sweet. Well it turned out she had an attitude all of her life. Sitting at the end of the couch swatting whoever walked by. She loved my mother though.

When my mother passed in 2020. I got her and she realized well he is feeding me now so I may as well be a little nice.

She has slowly been losing weight and she recently quit eating. We made a vet appt and her liver is shutting down. We had lyla say her goodbyes and Melissa and I will say our last goodbye tomorrow.

It’s wedding month!!! We are officially less than a month away from our wedding day. Why do you care you say? Well, you care because this means we are going to be a little selfish and be taking some time off. So, we will be unavailable for appointments between September 28th and October 12th. With that being said, if you will need an appointment before then please send us a message. We will try our very best to be able to get everyone scheduled before. Also please be patient when we return because it will take us a little bit to get caught up.

Lyla saw that we had a 5 star review and was thrilled. Can you believe she did this in just one take with no script. Just flawless.

Lyla was visiting the ice caves up in the UP. We hope everyone had a great new years & we can't wait to see everyone.

I told lyla she gets one take and boy is it bad. But I loved every second of it. So Lyla will be unable to appts for the next 8 days and we will be back on November 7th. She has done an amazing job this year so she gets to go on her 1st cruise. Please leave us a message.

Your daily happy dog video. Meet Champ he's 12 years old and needed to be muzzled at the groomers. Owner was very worried about how he would do with us. Well as you can see he was quite happy and no muzzle needed. HAPPY DANCE

Sometimes when cutting a dogs nails they decide to get creative in how they protest their nail trim. This guy decided being vocal wasn’t enough and wanted to give us another little “surprise”. Luckily I have ninja like reflexes and was able to avoid the incoming liquid attack. The owners were quite amused and slightly embarrassed.

Meet Tucker. His owner Ms Lee has told us many times he is a butt head. Tucker does not like when we come over to do his nails. In fact Tucker pretty much hates everyone. Lyla heard about this and decided to see for herself. Tucker was an absolute gentleman and was very happy to see Lyla. He did not try running away and he allowed her to pet him. Ms Lee has never seen him so happy and has requested that Lyla show up at the future nail appts. Lyla has a way with the animals, and hopes to one day become a Veterinarian.

So how much do dogs love Dovees after getting those nails done. Well you decide. Lots of kisses from this boy.

How do dogs feel after they have never had a nail trim and they get one. Look at this sweet boy cass..He couldn't contain his excitement and he deserves a video... He was nervous but he and his parents were so proud of how he acted...

This will be a two parter. We got to meet Pepper and it took us over 10 min to actually start on her nails. She was so freakin adorable. She would get on her hind legs and go here are my nails human. Trim away, Cuteness overload. She hasn't had nails cut since March and we were able to take so much off. (Can't do video and pictures together)
