BASIC RULE OF THUMB!
When it comes to obedience training start of being very strict as your dog or puppy gets better you can start to loosen up and not be so strict!
It is much easier to start off being strict and loosen up with time then it is to start off with no rules and try to regain control after your dog has learned bad habits!

hope this helps you guys understand what proper socialization is! Socialization doesn't mean letting them play with dogs or kids, instead to expose them to everything but in a controlled setting, because while you are "SOCIALIZING" you're also creating habits!
