RECREATION DOG OBEDIENCE
DOG OBEDIENCE (SPRING/SUMMER 2024)
The Southington Recreation Department is sponsoring beginner level dog obedience classes to be taught by skilled instructors from Stay N Play Pets, LLC. There are no residency requirements to participate.
Classes will be held outdoors at Recreation Park, 25 Maxwell Noble Drive, Plantsville.
Participants will receive instructions in obedience training including sit, stay, come, heel, and other commands. Bring your dog, a training collar, and a 6-foot lead to class.
NOTE: This program is not suitable for dogs who exhibit aggressive behaviors towards people or other dogs; dogs with issues of incessant barking are also prohibited. Dogs attending these classes must be able to withstand an hour in a group setting with other dogs and their owners in close proximity.
BEGINNER LEVEL
Open to dogs ages 16 weeks (4 months) & older
Registration Fee: $205.00 per dog
Tuesdays: May 28; June 4, 11, 18, 25; July 2, 9
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The first class (May 28) is for owners only; no dogs, please.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registration Fee = $205.00 per dog for the 7-week program
Registration forms/waivers are required and will be accepted ONLINE ONLY via the Recreation Department's new registration system at MyRec.com.
A credit card payment is NOT required in order to utilize the online registration system. You may complete the electronic form/waiver and then submit a cash, check, or money order payment to the Recreation Department at a later date.
Payment is due by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
