At UrgentVet, we take neurological exams seriously. Neurological exams help us assess motor skills, reflexes, and coordination, which can guide us in diagnosing issues like seizures, balance problems, or nerve pain. If your pet shows signs of unsteadiness or confusion, we’re here to help with a thorough evaluation and guidance for next steps!

Meet Rowdy 🐾🐕 Presented at UrgentVet with urinary problems.
After an ear-to-tail physical exam, we collected a urine sample for diagnostics. The results were in, and we were able to diagnose him with bacterial cystitis—a common urinary tract infection. Rowdy went home with anti-inflammatory and antibiotic oral medication, specially designed to combat the bacterial cystitis and promote healing. 🌿💊
A special shoutout to Rowdy's pawrents for entrusting us with his care. We're honored to have played a part in his healing journey and grateful for the opportunity to make him feel better!

Meet Pepper🐾🐕, presenting to UrgentVet with a distended abdomen.
After evaluation, a radiograph series was recommended, which revealed that Pepper was experiencing food bloat, with her stomach significantly distended with ingesta (food). Our team emptied Pepper's stomach by inducing vomit in a safe and controlled manner to relieve the pressure.
Peper was administrated with an antinausea intravenous medication. Our goal was to ensure she felt comfortable and promote a speedy recovery. After treatment was completed, Pepper felt more relief and she was back to wagging her tail with joy and feeling like her amazing self again! ❤️

Meet Spooky 🐾🐱 Presenting at UrgentVet with vestibular signs.
Spooky came into our clinic after her owner notices that Spokky was wobbly, unable to sit up straight or maintain balance. During the physical evaluation, we noticed something called nystagmus. Nystagmus is a condition where the eyes make involuntary, repetitive movements, which can affect a cat's balance and coordination. To ensure Spooky's well-being, we started with medication to control drowsiness and antibiotics to address any underlying issues. We also provided ear treatment to tackle current ear infections that might have been causing Spooky's symptoms.
Following our care, we recommended Spooky continue with their regular veterinarian for ongoing support and monitoring. We are happy to announce that on her next-day follow-up call, Spooky's parents informed us that they could notice some improvements.
