Important Announcement: UrgentVet Southlake has proudly provided excellent veterinary urgent care to the surrounding community since we opened. To enhance the care we deliver to pets and to better serve the local veterinary practices with whom we partner, we have decided to transfer all pet care from our Southlake location to UrgentVet Plano or UrgentVet Frisco. Cooper gave his parents quite a scare after they discovered a chewed-up battery and noticed black stains in his mouth. 😱🔋 Thankfully, they acted quickly and brought him to us! Our care team sedated Cooper for a thorough oral evaluation, provided GI protection, and administered fluids under the skin to support his recovery.

This sweet girl is Penny! 💕 After her parents noticed she had some bloody diarrhea, they brought her in for urgent care. Our team quickly performed a few diagnostics to identify the cause of her symptoms and started her on fast-acting diarrhea medication while she was in the clinic. Penny also went home with oral gastric support and a special diet to help her tummy heal. To top it off, she rocked her very own bandana—because every brave patient deserves a little extra love and style!

This sweet senior furbaby stole our hearts with his gentle soul and loving demeanor. After running some diagnostic tests, we discovered Gus was experiencing hypoglycemia, which means his blood sugar levels were too low. Low blood sugar can make pets feel weak, lethargic, or unwell, so we quickly provided stabilization and comfort care to help him feel better. 🐕🩹

Gus was then transferred to the ER for further monitoring, but we feel so lucky to have spent some time with this amazing boy. We are sending him lots of love and healing vibes!

Say hello to Nitro—a 125-pound bundle of love! This big guy came to UrgentVet after experiencing some limping episodes. After a thorough evaluation, a soft tissue injury was suspected. We provided pain relief and recommended rest and restricted activity to help this gentle giant get back on his paws. 🐶🩵

Meet sweet Tulip! 🐕🐾 This adventurous girl has a history of eating things she shouldn’t—oh, Tulip! This time, it was a rib bone! After a thorough evaluation, our team recommended she visit the ER for possible surgical intervention to ensure her safety and well-being. We’re wishing Tulip a smooth recovery and sending lots of love her way! 💖

This is Roxey! 💛🐾 Her parents noticed she was coughing, and with her regular clinic closed, they brought her to UrgentVet for some much-needed relief. Our care team provided treatment to help her feel better and sent all her records to her rDVM for follow-up care.
