Isla is a 1.5 year old terrier mix. She weighs about 25lbs. She is loving, kind and her favorite thing is to snuggle. She is a high energy girl and loves being outside and going on walks. She is good with kids over 5+ and other dogs her size, but not with smaller dogs or cats. She is UTD on all shots and spayed.

12023 Doc Allen's barn ramp is now destroyed. The house was destroyed a couple of days ago. Not sure if the barn is going as well. This was an iconic landmark on the corner of Holatee and Stirling. So sorry to see it go!

12025 I posted these pictures back in January 20th 2023 on my personal page as well as the Southwest Ranches community page. Unfortunately they were removed from the Southwest Ranches community page but I’m going to share them again. Fyi I have stopped comments on the Southwest ranches community fb page to avoid inappropriate comments but as I posted this on my personal fb page comments are welcomed and will be enjoyed if reminiscing about Dr Allen. This was Doc Allen‘s Barn pictures. He had a ramp that went up to it, and it was very unusual. The house was destroyed. The barn was destroyed. There is still a building that was used as a barn that had round doorway round windows they changed all that and add a picture of what it looks like now at a later date. Doc Allen DVM was a pioneer in Southwest Ranches. There was so many wonderful things mentioned about him and his place because it was on the corner of Holatee and Stirling. I’m hoping that by posting these pictures people will remember again about the old way sunshine Ranches and Southwest Ranches was. Unfortunately it’s not the same. We now have mega mansions people put up walls to block the view lights, etc. love to see the Ranches be more rural again just my hope thoughts. Have a wonderful day all xoxo

11225 Southwest Ranches,, hazardous waste electronics shredding and prescription drug drop off yesterday Saturday 11125 which I use each time. But this time I had to drop off a bunch of my brother’s mom’s medication. I’ve held onto it for a while, but it was great to know that in the future, I could drop it off at my local Publix right down the street from where I live FYI everyone XOXO.

On Saturday December 28, 2024, at approximately 7:45 PM hours, the above styled off-road vehicle was driving in the lake/easement area in between the Flamingo Gardens West subdivision and the Countryside Shops plaza in Cooper City. The vehicle was occupied by 4-5 unknown teenagers.

The vehicle ran over approximately 30 Egyptian Geese killing all the animals. A resident followed the vehicle and lost sight of it after seeing it turn into the Flamingo Townhomes subdivision.

For anyone trying to rehome a dog, do NOT list it for FREE Here's a list of some dog rescues. If these rescues say they are full & can't take your dog ALL you have to do is go on Google search and type in the search box:

Dog Rescue in South East Florida
Dog Rescue in Broward Florida Dog Rescue in Miami Dade Florida Dog Rescue in West Palm Beach Florida.

IF you want a specific breed I dog, type that into the search bar for example: German Shepherd OR Labrador Retriever Dog Rescue is Florida.

If you want some closer rescues type in an additional NEAR ME

My advice? IF you get one that says yes, they can take the dog in, get in your car & drive. Drive as FAR as you have to b/c MOST Rescues are full! So IF one can take them, consider yourself LUCKY.

One more thing: People make a living gathering up FREE dogs to sell them to Dog Fighters as bait and University Laboratories! Ask for at least a $100 fee. If they can't make any money off your dog, they won't come. And, IF they can't afford $100 how are they going to provide Vet care, food & necessities? Another thing you can do is when you finally find a good owner to rehome to, waive the fee & let them have the dog! 😁

Sometimes a dog comes into your life at just the right time, slipping into the cracks without you even realizing it. They don’t announce themselves as saviors or miracles—they’re simply there, slowly weaving their way into your routine, your thoughts, your feelings, and your heart. You don’t see it then, but they’re quietly pulling you out of places you thought you’d never escape.

It’s only years later, when you’re looking back, that the clarity hits you. You remember the nights when the world felt too heavy, and they sat beside you—steady and unshaken—keeping you tethered. You see how they filled your days with the kind of simple, unfiltered joy you had long forgotten existed. They didn’t fix everything, but they gave you a reason to keep going—and sometimes, that’s enough. Sometimes, that’s all you need.

And maybe that’s the beauty of it. They don’t try to save you; they just do. In their own gentle way, they become the thing you didn’t know you needed. And long after they’re gone, you realize it wasn’t just luck that they came when they did—it was love, pure and profound, walking into your life when you needed it most.
