A message from our managing DVMs at Tahoma Vet ❤️
We are excited to inform you about the implementation of VetTriage, a new after-hours screening and telemedicine service, to better manage the volume of calls we receive outside of our regular office hours.
While we have always strived to be available for our clients, we are not a dedicated emergency service. By offering this after-hours service, we aim to continue supporting our community while also managing the workload more effectively.
Our team works full days and takes turns covering one evening each week, as well as every weekend, to serve our clients and assist with the overflow from other emergency services. VetTriage is designed to address basic questions and triage emergencies, filtering out minor inquiries that do not require immediate attention. This helps reduce the strain on our team and prevent burnout, allowing us to remain available for significant emergencies.
As our client base grows, so does our workload, making burnout a genuine concern. The addition of VetTriage will alleviate these issues while ensuring our clients receive the level of service and attention they need.
Please be assured that we are not going anywhere. This service is simply a measure to balance our workload while maintaining excellent client care.
Excited to continue to serve the community that we love, but maybe get some sleep,
Eric Long, DVM
Travis McKinzie, DVM
