Ok everyone we have a military macaw, who is believed to be blind in one eye maybe both, coming into rescue/sanctuary. We have an appointment with Dr. Ferguson on Monday at 11 am.
In order to continue helping these babies we need your help...PLEASE.
Please welcome Jenny!!!! π
Because of the feathered babes and the fur babes...I get up and move forward. These beautiful beings bring me so much joy. β€
Ms. Widdles(aka Green Bird) visiting with Jordy. Jordy is afraid of other birds because she has been attacked before. So Ms. Widdles is working hard at helping her with her fears.
How adorable!!!!!! <3
Jordee...
She has had a rough go of it. She has heart diseases. She had a spiral leg break (from being picked on by a pineapple conure). Thank goodness we have an amazing avian vet that fixed her leg.
She now resides in the handicapped room, where she loves her set up and no one picks on her. <3
This boy has been through so much. He continues to struggle and we continue to work with our vet to figure out what is causing so much discomfort in his stomach and GI track. Love him so...
Falean - The most sweetest companion we've ever had the honor of helping.
We started our journey because of 2 companions. One of which passed away a few years back, his name was Pepe' and he was soooooo loved and greatly missed. Sasha is the 2nd companion that helped to start our road to doing rescue work.
This is our beautiful Sasha. <3
This babe is Tootsie. Probably the most vocal companion that resides here. She is officially considered the "momma" of the gang.
If anyone is doing something they should not be doing, she tells on them. However, if she is doing something and should not be doing it, she seems surprised when the gang tells on her. π
Tootsies family began traveling more and more and they decided they wanted Tootsie to be in an environment that she could flourish in, one that she would have freedom to be out of her cage more and one that would keep up with her medical care, etc.. Although it broke their hearts to say goodbye to Tootsie, they have remained involved all these years and continue to watch her through posts and updates.
Tootsie is such a neat companion. She engages everyone who comes to visit. She is the official greeter for new companions coming in and she has the most contagious deviant laugh ever. π§‘
Tootsie is now around 30 years old. She has been with us for a number of years. She has been fostered, but the foster failed. She did not thrive there and as soon as she came back to us, she was back to her funny, crazy self.
<3 our girl...
