1st picture. Exactly 28 years ago today, I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was 22 years old. This day changed everything… I have not regrated this decision for one second.

The day after I was baptized, I moved to Utah with almost nothing. I have been blessed beyond my ability to describe here other than miraculous. I have come to know Jesus in ways that I read about in scripture as a boy. He is personal. He is light. He will wrestle with you at times. He will call you by name. He will help you increase your faith and with that He will increase everything else in your life. He is a storm chaser. He is a real and a living Savior.

2nd -4th pictures. The 4 Hansbrow’s who became 28 Hansbrow’s after joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. God is good! He is a Multiplier!

The Giant Monkey Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor)

These are captive bred by us!

We pulled them all out for a quick health check and grabbed some pics and videos. This is not how we keep them lol. Soon the summer heat will let up and we can resume placing them.

We have been working with giant monkey frogs for the last 7 years. I believe we have raised more of these than anyone else. We started this project with the hopes of captive breeding them and reducing wild caught importation which has an extremely high mortality rate. We feel we have been successful over these years and have seen our customers find success keeping them as well. We hope at least we have been a benefit to the monkey frog community and species.We know we have learned a lot.

Most definitely... we are committed to the work! ... and slightly insane! Lol

Last month we found out that someone created another page called gecko daddy and is pretending to be us. Using our logo, images, videos etc. Having received many emails or calls from people interacting with them, we have spent far too much time tracking who they are and the several identities associated with them. This has been an interesting experience and we would like to share a few things we have learned that are applicable to the hobby...

1. If at all possible, buy geckos (any living thing actually) from a legit website. If they are a reputable breeder, they have a website... even if outdated. Lol. If they don't have a legit site... probs a scammer
2. Do a little digging into who you are buying from. Reputable breeders have a history of quality and service. If they don't have a history... probs a scammer.
3. Is their profile new?... Probs a scammer
4. Do they have only 6 friends? Are their friends real or are they alternate profiles they have created themselves? Lol... Probs a scammer.
5. If the deal is too good to be true... probs a scammer!

Everyone needs to start somewhere and we love being a part of a diverse and growing hobby. If you are truly new to the hobby, please understand, anyone who has been around the block should proceed with caution. It takes time to build a solid reputation, but it will be worth it.

If you are someone who uses other peoples images as if they are yours, pretends to be someone you are not or to have animals you do not have, may your dishonesty catch up with you soon. The animals you may or may not have and the people you interact with deserve better.

SCAMMER ALERT!!!! HELP NEEDED. Someone has set up a page called gecko daddy and is using our images, videos, logos and additional content. Please make sure you are talking to ChrisandErica Hansbrow when purchasing a geckodaddy gecko. Call us, email us or visit our website. We started geckodaddy.com 16 years ago as a family and we love the geckos, the hobby and the people we have met over the years. We would hate for anyone to be burned.

Please help us keep the hobby safe for geckos and people. Report scammers! Talk directly to sellers. Email a legitimate address for their business. Purchase through a legitimate website if possible. If they don't provide cell #'s, emails, or a website, proceed with caution. (Pictures posted because Tangerines are cool:)

SCAMMER ALERT!!! So, we found out today that someone has used our name and created another page and is pretending to be us. Please be careful when purchasing anything (especially living things) through facebook. So many scammers out there. They removed many of the pictures and content they had stolen from us, but still have a few up (pictured below) and use our name and logo etc. They removed the ability to comment as well. Hopefully facebook will do something about it. This is not their first time doing this to us. Not sure if they even have geckos. Feeling bad for any geckos(animals) they might have and for anyone who may have been misled by this fake page. The more people that report things like this, the better the reptile community will be. Be careful everyone! Report away!
