*UPDATE/ANNOUNCEMENT*
I havent said anything about this little gecko or his sibling because I feared they wouldnt make it more than a week after hatching, and was worried about their health. But, it has been almost two months since they hatched and both are doing well. Both geckos have very small, or absent eyes, and are tiny themselves. This was caused by temperature fluctuations that were out of my hands caused by a hovabator malfunction. I had been using these incubators for 10+ years and had never had a problem with them until now, and I am still unsure of what caused the fluctuations in temperature. These problems were ONLY with the Male incubator, and I lost a handful of eggs as well as a Male gecko who passed due to his deformities. These problems are not genetic, and are solely caused by greater than average temperature fluctuations. I have since had a wine cooler incubator made by JD Morely at "Just One More Gecko" that I have had great success with! As an extra precaution, I have started all of my geckos on an added supplement of Vitamin A to promote healthy eye development, and to just overall make sure everyone is getting what they need. For the first month I hand fed these two little geckos daily, "failure to thrive" was not an option for me, and they needed my help. The little Male in the video has small eyes, and so he can sense movement&light, he has since learned how to eat from my fingers when food is shown in front of his face! I almost SCREAMED when he finally started to somewhat eat on his own! The albino sibling has greater deformities, and the eyes cannot be seen at all. Because of this, he still has to be entirely fed by hand. They are both still very tiny, but have shed (on their own) at least 4-5 times each and get around and act as if they arent phased what-so ever by their differences!! They are such troopers, and I am extremely happy that they are doing so well! Unfortunately, these things happen in the hobby, and when they do we have to
