Does your dog eat 💩?

It's a common complaint I see daily on social media. I wanted to share a trick I've used in my own household. First, let me clarify that I am not an expert, and you should consult a professional for advice. I've tried many methods to stop this behavior, but nothing seemed to work, and I wasn't willing to spend a lot of money on store-bought "stop eating 💩" dog supplements.

So, what did I do? I looked into the most common ingredient in these supplements: Yucca. After researching its effects and the appropriate dosage for my dogs based on their weight, I decided to give it a try. I haven't shared this until now because it's experimental, and I don't want to be held liable for something I'm not fully educated in.

Yucca is not new to dog products; many dog food brands include it in their ingredients list. However, the amount is often too small to deter dogs from eating 💩. If you're tired of this issue, I suggest researching yucca and finding out the safe dosage for your dog. Alternatively, you can try "stop eating 💩" dog supplements that contain yucca.

When a dog loves food so much they do the unthinkable. For more context. I did not ask Lady to do this. And she doesn't get crated at home. She noticed the Basset Hounds get food when they go in their kennels. She normally gets fed in the kitchen.

Ida and Lola would like to remind everyone to eat their veggies and fruit. Or donate them to a Basset Hound who might like them more than you. •There are several fruits and vegetables that can be harmful to dogs. Here are some to avoid: Fruits: Grapes and Raisins: Can cause kidney failure in dogs. Cherries: The pits contain cyanide, which is toxic. Avocado: Contains persin, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea. Currants: Similar to grapes, they can cause kidney failure. Tomatoes: The green parts contain solanine, which is toxic. Vegetables: Onions and Large amounts of Garlic: Can cause gastrointestinal upset and damage red blood cells. Raw Potatoes: Contain solanine, which is toxic. Wild Mushrooms: Some can be toxic and cause serious health issues. Raw or Cooked Rhubarb: Contains oxalates, which can cause kidney failure. Asparagus: Can cause gastrointestinal upset. Corn on the Cob: While plain corn kernels are generally safe for dogs in moderation, the cob itself can be very dangerous. Dogs can easily choke on the cob, or it can cause an intestinal blockage if swallowed. It's always best to consult with your veterinarian before introducing new foods to your dog's diet.
