I should not be crying the blues on the influx of new people wanting services but I'm crying because I really can't help. Right before the big holidays I get calls for people wanting full weeks of boarding. Three people just yesterday. For major holidays you must make plans way ahead. Sometimes months ahead. I can refer you to others I know, who take on more dogs but, I can almost guarantee they are full too. Unless someone cancels on them.
****That being said, November and December are coming sooner than you think. You will wish for this heat back. So PLAN ahead for dog sake.

If I can't help you for this stay, book a meet and greet and a trial for a future stay.
I absolutely will NOT take last minute bookings when I never met you or your pet first. $30 day is not worth the risk of no planning ahead.

Find you a pet sitter before you actually need one.

Unexpected trips can come up and now you're left scrambling to find a pet sitter who has an opening for a dog who hasn't been onboarded or assessed yet and I've never met. It's much easier squeezing a dog in if an emergency comes up when I'm familiar with and know the dog.

Plan ahead for the expected and unexpected!!

Requirements to board with us:
1) meet and greet
2) paid trial daycare and/or overnight

🛑Do not donate Open bags of food and treats. They won't be jerks about it. But they cannot trust Open bags of food not being bad for the dogs.

Did you know that our veterinary costs are around $40,000+ every year? Over $40,000/yr! Even Melo here says "no way!" But, it's true!

We spay & neuter every adoptable dog, but we also provide Flea/tick/heartworm preventative, we treat heartworm positive dogs, we provide treatment for broken bones, porcupine quills, dogs hit by a car, dental procedures for dental disease, urinary tract infections, eye conditions, embedded toenails, ear infections, pyometra surgery, amputations, lyme disease treatment, the list goes on and on!

We keep our adoption fees low, but our costs don't go down.

How is this possible? You guys. Our supporters who provide monetary donations for dogs like Melo, whose broken leg couldn't haven't been treated without you! Lulu, who is currently in foster care being treated for heartworm disease. Dodge, who is in foster care recovering from pneumonia..... they all have you to thank!

We live in the woods! Ticks baby, Yeah! If your dog seems not right get them checked. It has lasting effects if not caught early. Get them on preventive. No none of them are perfect but better than your dog getting a sick borne disease.

It’s that time of year! In just the last week we have had 2 dogs test positive for tick borne diseases! Please talk to your vet about preventatives! The ticks this year are horrible because we didn’t have a hard winter. Every week we are seeing ticks! This is an engorged tick with eggs. One tick can have thousands of eggs! Fleas are active all year long!
