Putting Rudy in his kennel right away usually helps him settle. But this morning? Not so much. He was pacing, restless, just off. Then Matt asked, “Did he eat yet?” Lightbulb moment. Nope, he hadn’t.

If there’s one thing to know about Rudy, it’s this: breakfast comes first. Before the bathroom. Before anything. The boy has priorities.

One bowl of food later, and voilà, peace is restored. Crisis averted. Hangry? Never heard of her.
