This was a bigger undertaking than we ever expected, and we can't thank all the donors and volunteers enough for helping the people in Brevard County!

We had a 26 foot truck packed to the brim, and another regular sized truck bed full of donations!

Final week to donate items for Hurricane Helene relief for us to take this weekend. All items must be brought by 5 pm on Friday, November 8.

We have a U Haul secured, and will head out early on Saturday morning.

Items being collected are:
Clothing(can be used as long as clean and in good condition)
Cleaning supplies
Air mattresses
Pillows
Blankets
Sheets
Heaters
Hygiene products
One family reached out for a stove and a refrigerator
Gift cards

These items will be taken to Jen's brother's school, where he is an SRO. The items on this list is from the families of his elementary school.

We cannot even begin to thank everyone enough for the support and generosity.

Winner of the employee pumpkin painting contest! Congratulations to Alexandria! The kids contest was a dead heat, so looks like all of them are winners, as we already knew they were!

Don't forget to vote for your favorite pumpkins this week. All likes, shares, and comments of each pumpkin's picture will be one vote. These voted are free!
We are also offering additional votes for $1/vote or 15 votes for $10. These monetary donation votes will go to Paws and Claws (P.A.C) Allegheny NC.

Remember , voting closes at midnight on Nov 1.

We are going to ask for your help again!

Our staff and kids are having a pumpkin painting contest, and we are asking you all to vote for your favorite pumpkins. A like, share, and comments on each individual pumpkin picture will count as a vote. Those votes will be free.

If you would like to vote further, we will accept votes at each Waggin Train location. Each additional vote will cost $1, and you will vote for your favorite number pumpkin. The monetary donations received at the Galax location will be donated to Twin County Humane Society, and the monetary donations received at the Sparta location will be donated to Paws and Claws (P.A.C) Allegheny, NC.

Each location will have pumpkins on display, so feel free to stop by and take a look! We have some awesome, imaginative artists!

Voting ends on November 1 at midnight, and the winners will be announced on November 2. Thank you all for your help!

So, I spoke to my brother, David Wright, today. Stacy Lee Roberts and I are trying to make plans to take another trip to Brevard County, right outside of Asheville soon. I asked David to give me a list of items that his community members are needing now that they are starting to rebuild. Here is the list so far:

Clothing
Cleaning supplies
Air mattresses
Pillows
Blankets
Sheets
Heaters
Hygiene products
One family reached out for a stove and a refrigerator

We have a reservation for a UHaul.
He will keep me updated on the needs, and we will go ahead and start collecting items to take down.

We will be collecting items until 5 pm on November 8. We will be heading down in the early morning hours of November 9. All donations will need to be received at either Waggin Train location during regular business hours.

You all have been so amazing so far with your generosity, and this will help so many families that lost so much.

As many are aware, we are heading down to Fletcher, NC to take supplies to flood victims. We received a request from Mission Hospital in Fletcher with a list of highly sought after items. This is their list. We are accepting donations at both Waggin Train locations thru Saturday am, as we hope to be headed down by noon on Saturday. We plan on another trip, but dates haven't been confirmed yet. Please donate and share.

Stacy Lee Roberts , Ches, and I will be headed to Fletcher, NC in Buncombe County on Saturday, October 5. We hope to leave Galax by noon. I have had several people to reach out about taking donations. We will accept donations of water, toiletries, non-perishable food items, diapers, formula, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and paper towels, trash bags, hand held can openers, etc. We will be taking our truck and cargo trailer. If you would like to donate items to my brother's community, contact me or drop off at either Waggin Train location. Thank you all so much!
