We are looking to hire another part time employee. Duties will include bathing, office and kennel work, cleaning, etc. Schedule may vary from week to week. Interested candidates should be available 25 or so hours per week, have reliable transportation, and good work ethic. Stop in the office during business hours for an application.

I haven't made an announcement about Fred and Bella, the sheepadoodles that Stacy Lee Roberts, Cheryl Ann, and I took in a few months ago. Both have been adopted into new homes and are absolutely thriving! Bella, now named Ivy, has a sheepadoodle brother and two older children and a mom and dad that adore her! Fred, now named Riley, has a newfoundland brother, and a mom and dad, and he couldn't be happier about it! Both are living their best lives in their new indoor homes. Pictures of them now are wonderful updates, especially after seeing the condition they came to us in.

Not only are their lives better, the money received for their adoptions have been turned over to some wonderful Alleghany residents that are helping to spay/neuter cat colonies in the county! Everyone is winning now!

Dog training classes will begin on Thursday, May 23. First class will be at 5 pm, the second will start at 6:15pm. Limited space will be available. Cost is $180 per dog for the six week duration. Call 336-372-2380 or 276-237-0346 to get on the class roster.

Many people are trying to get in to get vaccines for their pets. Here is the schedule for the Alleghany rabies clinic, which is this Saturday, April 27. Cost is $10.

These babies are now ready to go into new homes. Adoption fee is $250, which will be donated to a local group that is helping spay and neuter cat colonies in Sparta.

🚨🚨🚨Don’t miss our upcoming mobile pet health clinic coming at the SW VA Farmers Market in Hillsville (497 Farmers Market Rd, Hillsville – near the Interstate) on March 4th from 10am-2pm. Our awesome partners Angels of Assisi will be there with their mobile pet health clinic😻

Local animal lovers and TCHS supporters N2U H**p Company, LLC have generously provided FREE microchips and will also be donating PET TREATS!

Canine distemper/parvo vaccines will also be FREE (thank you Petco Love)!

The clinic will also offer testing (heartworm, FeLV/FIV, Lyme, etc.), additional vaccines (lepto, kennel cough, FeLV, Lyme, feline distemper, rabies, etc.), flea and tick preventives, well-pet exams, and sick-pet exams (along with any medications needed). 🐱🐾🐶

But wait, there's more! TCHS will also be offering FREE collars and pet ID tags engraved on-site while supplies last and will be sharing information with all pet parents about the FREE services offered by Petco Love Lost to ensure lost pets are found as quickly as possible if the unexpected happens!

There's no limit on how many pets you can bring, but please make sure dogs are leashed and cats are in carriers - let us know when you arrive if you need to borrow one. (It might take a while for your pet to be seen if there is a large crowd, so please be patient - as long as you are in line by 2pm your pet(s) will be seen by the vet!)
